The only reason the comparison is made is because of how natural they are with the ball. Both of them are simply meant to play football. Their instincts about balance/momentum are similar. This instinct is why they elude defenders so effortlessly. Ball on a string. Both are magical. Messi has been magical since he was 4-5 years old. 🙌🏽

All this talk about Fati as reference point needs to stop. 1) Fati did not have just one bad injury he had 3. that took his explosiveness away which is a huge part of his game which affected his confidence and 2) fati has always been injury prone even in the youth teams. Lamine on the other hand has never had a major injury ever. Also, his best attribute is his IQ as long has he does not have a year long injury he will be fine. Lamine Yamal is not Fati. PERIOD

Not even close. Messi was different level. If you watched young Messi he was like Arda+Lamine. There was Maradona's shadow over Messi. Although this may seem like an honor, it is actually a curse that brings great pressure. Imagine being the hope of 45 million people? Noone care what do you do at your club, they was expected of him is to bring the World Cup to Argentina. Lamine has never experienced such pressure or expectation. Everyone compares Messi to Ronaldo, but Ronaldo was not even a rival until he came to Madrid. He always had only one rival; Diego Armando Maradona. But I watched Messi from his first match. When he stepped on the field, everyone knew that a legend had begun. Although Yamal is very talented but he cannot provide that creativity and excitement to football watchers.
