We have a belief system that is or can be critically limiting. The cycle of self sabotaging thing and the behavior that follows must be broken. But it does say it will be hard for a rich person to get into heaven. I believe it says it will be easier to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to get to heaven. I agree, understanding context and reading and knowing the full Bible it’s important.

In that passage you mention, Jesus speaks about those that love money so much that it impedes their spiritual understanding and priorities. He is not saying the rich are evil or that possession of money is wrong.
