I have feeling between the first and 2nd movie, Starscream may have been recruited by The Fallen(Megatronus) to help him prepares his plan to inavde earth so that he can continue his goal of eradicating earth. Maybe the reason why The Fallen had some loathe with humanity is because they are the spawns of Unicron, The Primes didn’t know that but the Fallen? Maybe he knew what they were. Which could explain why he tries to use the star harvester, Unfortunately that plan fails when his brothers defeated him, Took the Matrix and sacrifice themselves to hid it from him. Maybe the Fallen knew Unicron was earth as soon as he senses the chaos bringer's presence within Humanity, But thats just a theory.

I don’t think Starscream could’ve been recruited by The Fallen because in the 2nd movie after Megatron is resurrected he flies out to The Fallen and when he sees him he calls him his master so I think megatron and starscream had a background already established prior with The Fallen

I always had a theory that in the final fight when the F22’s started shooting at Megatron that Starscream was one of the ones that took a shot. It would make sense given his traitorous nature

And THIS is why 07 Starscream is goated. He felt like an actual contender for leader of the decepticons instead of the traditional shallow backstabbing egotistical one were familiar with. Wish we got more of him.

I hate that the majority of Decepticons in the Bay films had like zero personality or unique character traits. They were all angry monsters. I liked their take on Shockwave but come on, he is in the top three. He, alongside StarScream are Megatron's second in command. Definitely needed more character from these two.

You know i really thought that the second movie was gonna be about Starscream being the leader finally and coming back to earth with reinforcements (decepticons scatter throughout the galaxy) to avange the death of their leader Megatron and to bring honor back to the decepticon name since they were basically humiliated by a mere human.

In the PSP version of the game based on the first movie, which in case you don't know mainly cover missions that happen at the same time of the movie but wasn't show on screen like Decepticons and Autobots clashing in North Pole to extract the All Spark (and Megatron for Decepticons). Well Shockwave appear in this game as comploting on his own to take Decepticon leadership and who is the one flying him around? Thundercracker, yes, he is in this game, transforming into a MIG-29 Fulcrum. The first time we saw him he act as Shockwave mean of transport across the planet due to being able to fly, Shockwave hanging behind him... don't ask how it works, and being Shockwave lackey. The next time we saw him is while playing as Ironhide, protecting Optimus and Jazz from Vehicons with Ratchet while they are heading for the Hoover dam. Thundercracker is defeated but not destroyed as Ironhide and Ratchet interogates him, we can assume he manages to escape at somepoint because we see him one last time near end of the game with Optimus protecting Bumblebee escaping with All Spark. While unlocking doors inside a factory, Thundercracker appear as last try to eliminate them, but of course he's no match for Optimus, but again, we see him run away but never appear again. The last level of the game is Cybertron, and we see Starscream and Shockwave arguing about who should be leader and offering the other to join him, we take control of Starscream as he obliterate the last Vehicons standing for Shockwave before eliminating the purple Decepticon himself. Claiming leadership with violence in the ruin of what was once their home planet... I understand that all these events are not canon and just made for a game, but still very cool concept to show what's happening between the main events of the movie and also showing that Starscream will not hesitate to kill if he thinks he got a chance, he was subtle with Megatron because even him knew he didn't stand a chance, but against Shockwave? He let his weapons talk
