Thank you so very much for this story about Karna. I admire Karna a lot for his selflessness and always felt very sorry for him when everything he got was taken away from him somehow. Learning about his past helped me to see clearly the long, long hand of Karma stretching through lifetimes to catch the doer of the deeds. I also got to see how, in spite of being a powerful demon in his past life, he had perfected himself in some way. In his life as Karna, he was then paying back, but he did so with such humility and surrender, that he earn the rich and honorable reward of becoming the King of Warrior Heaven after his death. Thank you very much for telling the story in English. We are very interested in the Vedas, but so many of the Indian movies, especially those related to the Vedas have no English subtitles anymore. They are now expressly locked in Hindi. The movies are already in Hindi, and the subtitles are also in Hindi. Why not allow others of different languages to enjoy India's rich heritage of the Vedas, by being able to listen at least with the subtitles of their own language? Please clarify, according to your story- King Daksh was a king of *Satya Yug* . He arranged his daughter Murti for marriage with Dharma, later she gave birth to two children Nara and Narayana who fought Dambhodbhava till the end of Tretya Yug. My question is- First, How come Dambhodbhava took another birth without dying, because he still had one more armour left??? Second, if everything dies with the end of the yug or the cycle of yug then, Dambhodbhava would have also died with the end of Satya Yug. How come he survived then??? Third, how come such a major incident never been mentioned in Ramayan, As Dambhodbhava's power surpasses that of Ramayan??? Please clarify

It is the duty of a deva to appear before a devotee if he does the required penance of the particular devas. Yes they know their intentions beforehand but they have to oblige because they have been summoned by the penance of the devotee. Only Narayan is unbound because to please him you need bhakti, mere penance (tapasya) is not enough. Anyway, the presence of villain is essential to making a hero. They villain may not always be a human or demon, it may be bad practices, bad systems and more but it is a villain that makes a hero. The geeta says that lust, anger, greed and ego are the villains and enemies of the aatma. And anyways if you think enough, all world problems have these at their core. You will never have heard of any story where devotees of narayan wreak havoc on society after pleasing him because narayan only gets pleased if bhakti is pure.

Narayan gives you what is important to you, he keeps you eternally happy, so that's why we must take up his bhakti. So if we are capable of penance and tapasya we must do it to go back to Narayan. Sometimes we are given ability but we use it for other material gains, like power, glory, and other such things. So when the rakshas does tapasya he/she can ask according to his ability to think. He could've asked Krishna bhakti from the devtas, but no ! In their ignorance and greed, they ask for power, immortality, and other such boons which makes them think they are invincible. But then it's Narayan which always proves them wrong. I'll give you an example. Are you familiar with the Bhajan "Vaishnava Jana toh tene kahiya.." ? This bhajan was written by Narsinh Mehta. Once he performed intense tapasya of Mahadev and made him happy. When mahadev appeared and asked narsinh Mehta what he wanted as a boon, then Narsinh Mehta said to Mahadev, "Prabhu give me what you consider as the best, greatest, something which is the most valuable for you". Mahadev became very happy, and he gave Narsinh Mehta "Krishna bhakti" 😊🙏. Then Narsinh Mehta went on to write that famous Bhajan. See, here is the example of a devotee who performed tapasya and asked for the right thing, that is Krishna bhakti. Hope this answers your question. I tried to the best of my ability. Hare Krishna 😊🙏
