When the battle between Karna and Arjun began, both of the warriors tried to show off their archery skills to intimidate the opponent. Arjun went first, and fired a normal arrow at Karna's rath, the rath was pushed back several yards. Then it was Karna''s turn. He fired an arrow to Arjun's rath, it moved a few feet. Everyone started ridiculing Karna for his weak arrows, and inferior archery. However Shri Krishna praised him, calling him one of the strongest archers. Arjun asked Shri Krishna as to why waas he praising an inferior archer, an enemy nevertheless. Shri Krishna replied ," Look at him, he is a sootputra, even his own sarathi ridicules him. He never gets respect as a Kshatriya would get. And even then, his marksmanship and archery eclipses all those around him." Confused, Arjun asks," But O Lord, he only pushed back my rath a few feet, doesnt that count as weak archery?" Shri Krishna, amused at Arjun's naivete replied. "I am on this rath, the weight of all universes is on this rath. Even then, you were pushed a few feet back! This ratha should not have moved a finger's distance, not with me as your Sarathi!" It was at that moment, it became clear to Pandavas, that they were dealing with a threat almost as strong and dangerous as Bhishma Pitamah himself!!

In the Sanatan, Vishnu creates every one with a duty to perform. The only way to please Vishnu is to perform the duty he gave. The evil Kuru destroyed the Yadav and replaced Sanatan with the Semitic religion of Hinduism, also replace Vishnu with the Semitic god Rama. The story Sadhguru narrates is not to be found in VP, it is a later fabrication.

After going through all the comments and arguments i understood the sweetness of Sanatan Vedic Philosophy. In vedic philosophy there is always a place of argument. There is no completely dark or completely white character. Everyone is with a gray shade. Everyone has a brighter and a darker side. Everyone is following the fate of his/her karma. Everyone is great and at the same time everyone has some flaw. Everyone is hero and at the same time everyone did some evil. Really it makes a difference. Nothing is hard coded, no ahrd and fast rule. There is always a place of argument and always a place of putting a completely new point of view. There is always a place of research and learning new things. It is pointless to decide whether Ramayana and Mahabharata are fact or completely fiction. The point is that what we learn from these epics.

In the Skanda Purana, Barbarika, Baliyadev (IAST Barbarīka) was the son of Ghatotkacha and Maurvi (Ahilawati), daughter of Muru.grandson of Bhima (second of the Pandava brothers). At the end of the battle, the victorious Pandava brothers argued among themselves as to who was responsible for their victory. Krishna suggested that Barbarika's head, which had watched the whole battle should be allowed to judge. Barbarika's head suggested that it was Krishna alone who was responsible for the victory. Barbarika replies, “All I could see were two things. One, a divine chakra spinning all around the battle field, killing all those who were not on the side of Dharma. The other was the draupadi who has taken her original form of Goddess Mahakali, who spread out her tongue on the battle field and consumed all the sinners as her sacrifice". Listening to this, Pandavas realized that it was Lord Narayana and Goddess Parvati (Mahakali) who actually cleaned up the world from Adharma, and the Pandavas were mere instruments.

Barbareek was the grandson of bheem... He got the three arrow (reusable) from God of fire... When he left his house his mother asked who will you fight for, he said I haven't decided but I will fight for the weaker side... His three arrow were used as such... 1st arrow marked everything he wanted to kill 2nd everything he wanted not to kill 3rd killed everything marked by first. I think you should re-read the story again, the story is of Sahastrakavacha demon (Karna) and Nar-Narayan (Arjun-Krishna), the story do not say Sahastrakavacha has killed Nar-Narayan but Sahastrakavacha had boon from Surya that he would have 1000 armors and each armor will take some 100 years to break and who ever will break that armor will die instantly. By this boon Sahastrakavacha become arrogant and started his mischief, to teach him lesson, Nar-Narayan took position where Nar took stand to fight Sahastrakavacha and Narayan sit on penance, as Nar destroy Kavach of Sahastrakavach and die, Narayan use his penance to revive Nar and take his position to battle , and Nar sit on penance to do the same for Narayan, together they managed to destroy 999 Kavachas, frightened for life Sahastrakavacha ran to Surya with his one Kavacha to save his life, Surya hide him and gave him as his son to Kunti, to finish off the job Nar-Narayan too followed and took birth as Arjun & Krishna, where it was turn of Nar (Arjun) to fight and Narayan (Krishna) to sit on penance. So it is not that Sahastrakavacha (Karna) had killed Arjuna & Krishna, it was boon from Surya that Nar-Narayan where giving respect and died to not negate the boon but at same time they poses the ability to revive through penance. In same way it was Vijaya bow and not Karna which is powerful, by boon the wilder of Vijaya Bow (Bow of lord Shiva) can not be defeated by any one. Mahabharat is about submission for greater selfless cause , Arjun submitted all his desire, relation, emotion for cause of Dharma as asked by Lord Krishna and so Arjuna became Invincible, and no power of entire universe touched him because every thing is under command of Krishana. Warriors like Bhishma, Barbarik, Drona, Karna have mightiest weapons with boon of invincibility, but Arjuna had won Krishna (Mightiest of all) by his submission and thus able to defeat them all and their boon/weapons/skills. The same Arjuna has defeated Karna without Krishna in Virath , Karna was defeated by Abhimanyu you can read the KM Gangulie's verse by verse translations online.

After reading the comment section below, I am really very disappointed at the audience who haven't read a single line of Mahabharat and are commenting on the basis of the star plus serial and suryaputra karna serial where there is a huge amount of milavat to gain trp. I request everybody to go and read the original Mahabharat by vedavyaas to know the truth. But first I'll answer the question of who was the greatest between karna and Arjuna. According to the vyaas Mahabharat, karna was one of the best warriors and also a great fighter but was no match for Arjuna. Before there final battle, karna and Arjuna have fought several times which resulted in Arjuna as victorious. Out of those several I'll present 2 examples:- 1.) The battle of Virat rajya:- This is where Arjun was with the false identify of 'brihannala' where he single handedly defeated the whole kaurav army along with the karna, Dronacharya, Bhishma etc 2.) The battle with the Gandharva:- Duryodhan pissed off a Gandharva with his arrogance which resulted in his abduction. Here karna came to rescue Duryodhan and fought the Gandharva and had a very humiliating defeat. After that Arjuna and Bheema came to rescue Duryodhan on the order of yudhisthira. Arjuna and the Gandharva fought and the Gandharva was defeated. These incidents clearly indicates that arjuna was far more greater than karna. Karna's kavach and kundal given by Surya Dev had a function that nobody will be able to kill karna while he is wearing it and not that nobody will be able to defeat karna while he is wearing it, just like the iccha mrityu of bhishma. There is a huge difference. Bhagwan Krishna has stated that Arjuna is the greatest warrior of Mahabharat. He is the Avatar of lord Vishnu and he won't give any false claims and I'm sure he knows more than the fucking serial makers who are busy with their trip and milavat. The only people who could have actually defeated Arjun were Bhishma and Dronacharya but they didn't because of there immense love for Arjun. Lord Krishna have stated that it would take 3 days for Dronacharya to end the kurukshetra, and one day for bhishma and it would take 1 mere eyeblink for Krishna to destroy the whole universe.

Sri Krishna and Arjuna once were guests of a widow. The widow had no children, nobody. She was all alone. But she had a cow. This cow was her only means of support. She used to sell milk, and by selling milk she used to maintain her life. In same time she was a great devotee of Sri Krishna. When Sri Krishna and Arjuna went to visit her in disguise, incognito, she was so happy to see these two divine guests. She fed them with whatever she had in her house. Sri Krishna was extremely pleased with her surrendering attitude and her devotion. On their way back, Arjuna said to Krishna, You were so pleased with her. Why didn’t you grant her a boon? Why didn’t you tell her that she would be prosperous soon, now that you are pleased with her? I have already granted her the boon that her cow must die tomorrow. - spoke Krishna. What? Her only means of support? She has only the cow, and nothing else. Without the cow how can she live on earth? Krishna answered, You don’t understand me Arjuna. She always thinks of the cow. The cow has to be fed, has to milked, has to be bathed and so forth. I want her only to think of me, and when the cow is gone, she will think of me all the time, twenty-four hours. Then soon the time will be right for me to take her away from this world, and after a few years I will give her a better and more fulfilling incarnation. When she has nobody on earth, not even the cow, she will try and spend all her time, day and night, in devoting herself to me. Otherwise, this way she will linger on earth and constantly think of the cow and not of me. Moral of the story: Sri Krishnas ways are inscrutable. Sometimes when we are in great difficulty, the Grace of God acts in a very peculiar way. We feel that God becomes more cruel when we are in difficulties and sufferings but we do not understand his hidden plans. In Srimad Bhagavatam - 10.14.8 Brahmaji says: tat te ’nukampāṁ su-samīkṣamāṇo bhuñjāna evātma-kṛtaṁ vipākam hṛd-vāg-vapurbhir vidadhan namas te jīveta yo mukti-pade sa dāya-bhāk My dear Lord, one who earnestly waits for You to bestow Your causeless mercy upon him, all the while patiently suffering the reactions of his past misdeeds and offering You respectful obeisances with his heart, words and body, is surely eligible for liberation, for it has become his rightful claim. Purport: Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī explains in his commentary that just as a legitimate son has to simply remain alive to gain an inheritance from his father, one who simply remains alive in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, following the regulative principles of bhakti-yoga, automatically becomes eligible to receive the mercy of the Personality of Godhead. In other words, he will be promoted to the kingdom of God. The word su-samīkṣamāṇa indicates that a devotee earnestly awaits the mercy of the Supreme Lord even while suffering the painful effects of previous sinful activities. Lord Kṛṣṇa explains in the Bhagavad-gītā that a devotee who fully surrenders unto Him is no longer liable to suffer the reactions of his previous karma. However, because in his mind a devotee may still maintain the remnants of his previous sinful mentality, the Lord removes the last vestiges of the enjoying spirit by giving His devotee punishments that may sometimes resemble sinful reactions. The purpose of the entire creation of God is to rectify the living entity’s tendency to enjoy without the Lord, and therefore the particular punishment given for a sinful activity is specifically designed to curtail the mentality that produced the activity. Although a devotee has surrendered to the Lord’s devotional service, until he is completely perfect in Kṛṣṇa consciousness he may maintain a slight inclination to enjoy the false happiness of this world. The Lord therefore creates a particular situation to eradicate this remaining enjoying spirit. This unhappiness suffered by a sincere devotee is not technically a karmic reaction; it is rather the Lord’s special mercy for inducing His devotee to completely let go of the material world and return home, back to Godhead. A sincere devotee earnestly desires to go back to the Lord’s abode. Therefore he willingly accepts the Lord’s merciful punishment and continues offering respects and obeisances to the Lord with his heart, words and body. Such a bona fide servant of the Lord, considering all hardship a small price to pay for gaining the personal association of the Lord, certainly becomes a legitimate son of God, as indicated here by the words dāya-bhāk. Just as one cannot approach the sun without becoming fire, one cannot approach the supreme pure, Lord Kṛṣṇa, without undergoing a rigid purificatory process, which may appear like suffering but which is in fact a curative treatment administered by the personal hand of the Lord.
