he kinda did, there was a mission in horseshoe overlook where we get a pipe for Dutch. Arthur mentions at the end that when his okd horse was shot, Mac stepped up and gave his horse to Arthur and held the line. This mission was later cut.

I've thought Mac should be the MC for rdr3 since the game came out. They set him up perfect for it. Suble references the gang suggest enough to get us interested and to like him, while leaving his character and death vague enough to make a compelling story

Mac would be perfect MC for rdr3, but I’d really like to see an antagonist MC, a good idea would be that Mac made a deal with the feds initially thinking of turning Dutch and everyone in, but we have the option to choose if we do or we fight the feds, that’s where the high and low honor comes in perfectly, either way Mac will die and the outcome will be the same, only difference is if Mac redeemed himself and became a good man and fought the feds, or did he stay all the same and tried to turn Dutch in.

I hope that rdr3 is about the Callander brothers. I wanna know more about their background and their parents and what their life was like before they joined the van der linde gang. They seem like interesting characters worth knowing more about. From what we know from some members of the gang they were skilled fighters and were wild and brutal. Lenny and Charles didn’t probably didn’t care for them that much due to their extremely violent nature while others like Arthur, Hosea, bill, and Sean had good memories of them. They way they talk about Mac I’m guessing he was the strong brawler type like Arthur but way more brutal but they also said he was good man at heart which makes me think that even if he was ruthless at times he was a very complex man forming his own opinions and had a deep understanding about how the world is and how is works and he may have been thinking about place in it. Davey from what we heard about him is that he liked to drink a lot and he loved a game of cards saying “poker builds character”but Lenny says he was a liability maybe he as wild if not wilder than Mac a bit of a loose cannon like Micah always making noise and causing mischief. Others remember him In a good way which makes think even if he was a out of control at times deep down he was a softer hearted guy and was always good to the other members and liked to have a good time. They probably joined before Lenny and Charles so they probably weren’t in the gang long enough to get to know them a little better. They just sound like protagonist material to me that’s my perspective.

When the Blackwater Massacre occurred and the Pinkertons got involved, we know that Davey was shot in the gut, Jenny was shot and killed, John shot in the arm, Sean was knocked out unconscious which had Dutch, Micah, Javier, and Mac having no choice but to leave the others and fight there way out while carrying Davey and ride to camp while they killed as many Pinkertons they possibly could. The gang held off against the Pinkertons outside of Blackwater and Charles injured his hand during the process Mac sacrificed himself by holding off numerous Pinkertons so the gang could escape. Mac fought well but had to run and was unfortunetely shot up by Pinkertons. Agent Milton questioned Mac about where Dutch was headed as he was dying but Mac wouldn't answer so Milton shot him.

Mac & Davey Callender should be the playable characters of Red Dead 3. Along with Dutch. I'm calling it; Red Dead 3 needs to be another prequel set from 1869-1899 surrounding the origins, formation and the moral code of the Van der Linde gang leading to the ferry robbery turned shootout at Blackwater. The game should have prologue parts 1 & 2, 2 chapters and epilogue parts 1 & 2. The Callender brothers, Jenny, Annabelle and Bessie should be visually part of the game. Dutch as the playable character of the prologue - beginning Mac & Davey as the playable characters of the chapters and epilogue - middle & end So the Red Dead Redemption trilogy about the Van der Linde gang story will be all full circle and visualised RDR 3 - gang formation RDR 2 - gang downfall RDR 1 - gang extermination Rockstar, do this. This is the right plan from the get go

My idea of the game would be you playing as the callender boys or just mac and the entire game your playing through you do robberies and such eventually the law starts to catch up. Through the game you meet and talk with Landon rickets. Maybe do some missions with him you grow to be like a student to him and learn from him and by the end of the game Landon is there to witness Mac’s death at the black water massacre where the brothers end of meeting their demise with mac at black water and Davey at colter and the game after the stories over at the backwater massacre the endgame free roam you play as Landon rickets. With a mini time jump that shows newspaper articles and stories of Dutch’s gang robbing Cornwall and such

Even though we never see him, everyone remembers him with love and longing, Bill calls him both a good person and heartless (this may be the honor system), and the fact that he was on the ferry during the Blackwater robbery is another reason. Arthur was not on the ferry so we could not observe the events there. On the ferry were Dutch, Micah, Sean, John, Javier, Davey and Mac. Names like Arthur, Jenny, Hosea, Lenny, Bill and Charles were only present in the Blackwater massacre but not on the ferry, and this is definitely a reason for Mac to be the main character. We can see the Blackwater massacre and the failed robbery on the ferry through Mac's eyes. In an interrupted dialogue, it is said that when Arthur's horse was shot at Blackwater, Mac gave him his horse to escape. This is a fitting ending for the main character of RDR. Arthur helped John escape. John also helped Jack escape. If Mac helps Arthur escape, as in this dialogue, he will definitely complete his atonement before he dies, and we already know what happened to Mac. He gave Arthur his horse and was later killed by Milton. We will see Mac and Davey's brotherly relationship, just like Arthur and John's brotherly relationship. I don't know how well a *full* entire game that is a prequel to the prequel would hold up, since everyone knows what comes next, but it would be cool if we got a DLC or even a game made up of entirely different stories to portray the twins and even the Blackwater Heist; granted a game that is basically similar to the movie The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, would need to be executed well.

Not really, we don't know much about the gang's origins, we could start with the prologue being arthur's familys death and dutch saves him -> how they recruit the entire gang -> mary linton and eliza story -> bunch of events that led them to blackwater(most of the gang dies)

Mac will be the protagonist. Uncle talks about him beating up 15 sailors. That sounds like a mission to me. Im just not sure how the epilogue will be because the blackwater massacre is gonna be the ending and arthur will be on the run in the mountains so maybe Mac does not die and the epilogue is Mac starting a new life somewhere else?

Hear me out. Mac callender was a rat. Which explains the heavy police response during the farry job. It would also explain why Milton told Arthur that Mac was killed. Likely to protect him from being searched for by the gang, which would also explain why he was such an asshole when telling Arthur about it. We also never get a grave of him nor him actually being confirmed dead. (No corpse, or any actual proof.) I bet we get to play as Davey Callander if we get a RDR3. but after my prediction (That Mac is a snake.) when Davey likely dies by the end of the main story. We play as Mac during the epilogue if it gets one. Only my prediction.

Davey for the main story of red dead redemption 3. Then you’re killed during the Blackwater heist as we already know. Epilogue you play as Mac on the run.

Mac got killed at Blackwater, he probably died before Davey seeing as Davey died before the rest of the gang reached Colter, days/maybe a week or two after the massacre

My theory for the red dead redemption franchise is that in rdr3 we are going to have multiple Main characters like in gta5, First MC ( Main Character ) that were going to play, is a young dutch the story continues on how the gang was created and how he meets hosea , the next chapter would be another MC which is a young Arthur. And seeing him as the first member in the gang and how he was brought there, third MC is going to be Mac and seeing him bond with the gang and davey , and seeing how the black water massacre ended and giving his horse and jacket to Arthur. We flash forward to the recent events of rdr where jack marston is going to be the last main character, And where he writes and publish a book about the gang called “Red Dead” and see what life would he choose. ( I don’t personally think that he is going to join the war )
