Honestly children in Sims are so limited. They cannot cook, paint and gain skills in gardening and fishing. Then if they are occult they only gain their powers as teens. Let me see a werewolf toddler, or a nanny dealing with a child who turns into a bat.

THAT OVEN IS THE SYMBOL OF THE SIMS TO ME!!! All of my families had it! And sometimes I'd make those messed up "how long can the kids survive on their own" families and they'd survive off of those muffins and chips lmaooo

Same feeling with the missing normal size teddy bear: - kids and tots could play with it - you could put it in a crib - if a kid had it in his/her inventory when they slept they got a positive moidlet like teddy guard - adults could play puppet with it - with generations you could hold a tee party with the bear I still doesn’t found a modder who made anything like this… I wish pandasama could make a mod like this but nowdays she only makes that birth mod instead of toddler toys/smaller mods

I really miss normal sized teddy's and doll houses in the Sims. It's impossible to make a normal sized playroom or bedroom for children and toddlers in the Sims 4.

I have to admit I did not use the toy oven in Sims 2 much, if at all. But in Sims 3, I definitely used it a lot. All my households had it and all my kids used it. And it's definitely an object I miss a lot in Sims 4.

I don't use the toy oven much in the Sims 2 because there isn't much to do aside from making a humongous cupcake! Plus they can watch cooking shows and read a book if they want to improve cooking skill. Glad in the Sims 3 they added cookies and brownies option. They can even have a bake sale! Yes there are tons of missed opportunities for including the toy oven. Please don't give them ideas to have ANOTHER stuff pack just to have that toy oven!

As a kid I always dreamed to have something like this in real life. We never had anything like Easy Bake Oven where I'm from but even then the TS2 version seems better (though it seems to be based on a VERY OLD version of Easy Bake Oven, they actually used to look like ovens).

I used this alllll the time in TS2 because it was just the most reliable way to get my kids fed without them having to rely on an adult cooking for them. Now they just... eat leftovers. Which is realistic, sure. But where's the WHIMSY???

Rotfl I did this too sometimes. Sims was much harder before sims 3. Keeping your sims sane and their needs met while having kids was a Full time job. So that oven helped sometimes too.. and it was so cute watching your little sims bake. If they do bring it back they should give more options

I had an Easy-bake oven, but it took forever to cook tiny little cakes, so eventually my mom would help me pour the remaining batter into cupcakes and bake them in the real oven.

I think all big pack need these own "learning objects" for children Toy Oven in basegame, without real food, just in "imagination" like other child objects, and eating would mainly give fun and a little food (like in the movie hook, the more fun they have, the more effective the food is) [one could imagine being able to improve it to serve real food] Get To Work would have the cash register, investigator desk, and doctor cart it's the same, just fun/imaginative and could gain traits that spark interest in those professions in adulthood could also be improved to be useful, for example selling items like lemonade or drawings for the cash register, healing moods to sims with the cart, or resolving conflicts between sims for the desk dine out: dining table for stuffed animals (linked to the toy oven) for get together: sound table and minibar City Living: stand of the president of the world get famous: camera of the little cinema lovestruck: doll like barbie and ken wedding: the wedding arch for children

I would love a stuff pack for kids in sims 4 that allows them to build skills through items like these and sell their wares. Something like knitting/sewing their own hand puppets and oven mitts for gifts for family, or putting their oven on for a kids pizza etc. Being able to do more with their skills that lead into adolescence would help shape a character more realistically from a young age. They have a lot already implemented so I feel like if they were to introduce just the oven mechanics it would be through a free update

I am very happy someone is talking about the Little Baker Oven. Actually, it was part of The Sims 4 Base Game when the Sims 4 first came out, but for some reason, one day it was just removed. The first time I noticed it gone was when cameras were added to the Base Game as an update for some other Expansion pack. It is possible that it had been removed before that but I just didn't notice it. I do remember playing a ton with it when the Sims 4 first came out, and I never understood why it was removed from the Base Game.

6:02 a similar glitch in the Sims 3 is that cats and dogs can "gaurd" objects but then it says its being gaurded forever and you get stuck with a pet bed in the middle of your sims yard

Just another reason why I play the Sims 2! Stopped playing the Sims 4 a few years ago. I had several expansion packs installed and the game became laggy and then unplayable (no mods - playing using the PS4 pro) I used to play Sims 2 when it came out (been playing since the Sims 1!) so we installed Sims 2 on our Mac for about £30 with almost all the packs. It's so fun! The gameplay is just unbeatable! And it has the kids oven 😊 What do I think is also missing from Sims 4? Cars. But you know they'd just butcher them anyway, so I think I'd prefer if they didn't bother now 😂

I use this oven in literally ALL my playthroughs with children in TS2. Lápidas? Bum, an oven Clavel? Bum, an oven Random npc townie becomes selectable and adopts a kid? BUM, AN OVEN I cannot even imagine playing TS without this item, it makes me so happy to see the kids eating the king sized muffin in their chair at their bedroom…❤ Their big smiles once the baking turned right activate my happy chemical in a way other things simply can't. Sims4 is definitively the worst rendition of the sims, only mods can save that dumpster fire.

Also if we get inZoi I HOPE we get faries or some type of a super natural pack and fairies could in it As well as other suoer natural creatures. Sorta like Sims 3 IF the team Crafton decides to do make a pack like that at SOME point and TIME as it will be a awhile with all the tesm has going on with makeing the game still. Sims 3 was peak. Sims 4 was a dumpster fire. I can't believe how greedy they've gotten where you have to buy packs separately. My friend was telling me for example how pet packs are sold individually? Excuse the pun but that's a bunch of horse 💩 and this is why there won't be a Sims 5. Too greedy.

0:50 - I'm confused what "consistence with their packs" means. Fairies weren't a part of anything but The Sims 3 Supernatural. The Sims 2 had an outfit, and The Sims 1 had an NPC. None of the games had a "Cottage Living" style expansion. Personally I'm all for the lack of repeated releases, it's one of the reasons I'm glad they decided to stick with The Sims 4 over making The Sims 5. I really don't feel like doling out money for all the same expansions to be released over a period of a couple of years _again_, I've literally already done it four times.

I feel it'd have been consistent with Cottage Living to have fairies in it (since ts4 has already sliced supernatural into other packs - ie mermaids) and connect them by adding some lore to the pack, like some old tales about fairies. I think fairies as an occult would have made total sense with the theme/style of the pack 🧚‍♀
