#MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, is the most subscribed KZbin creator on the planet. He gets hundreds of millions of views and has a huge number of fans all around the world.
However, beyond all of the talk of kindness and generosity that often comes with Mr Beast, there is actually an untold truth about Jimmy's empire. Sadly, not only has he become a regular mouthpiece for animal exploitation, but Mr Beast has actually become far more involved than many people realise.

I live next to a small, “high welfare”, family owned (4th generation) farm in Cornwall and from personal experience I know there is nothing ethical, sustainable or high welfare about it. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve cried over the “normal” everyday things that happen here, not least, when the calves are taken away and the weeks of bellowing that ensues. Mother cows will break through enclosures and gates in search of their stolen calves. It’s one of the most heart-wrenching things I’ve ever witnessed and heard. I highly doubt that many people who sign up to marketing campaigns for meat/dairy/egg products have ever stepped foot on a farm - let alone witnessed and listened to what animals go through on a farm in an average week.

i've been to my families pig farm and its far from nice, let alone ethical. Concrete floor, dark room, terrible smell, just not a nice place to be. Its a stark contract to what most people think of "family farms". If people saw this family farm im sure more would be vegan.

@@OliM9595 Absolutely. My partner is actually a farmers son - and he’s a vegan as a direct result of all that he has witnessed. His family are thought of as pillars of the community, but animal cruelty is part and parcel of all that they do in a year. The stories I’ve heard of what they’ve done over the decades is stomach churning. Soon, they’ll be slaughtering their birds on the farm, and the grandkids will be actively involved in it, too. They treat the mass killing of animals as a family event 😞 My partner was forced to do such things as a child and is still very affected by it.

And I haven't commented about it on any commentary videos about him. This is the one single video where I will share that I worked there. And I hated his cringe hypocritical dairy ads. The statement "95% of dairy farms are family owned" is very craftily misleading. If one industrial conglomerate owns 20% of the dairy market they still only count as 1 farm technically because it's 1 entity. So 95% of dairy comes from factory farms but also 95% of dairy farms are "family owned". Also there are some rich families that own massive amounts of farmland further complicating the statement.

@@KiwiSquawks Breaking through the Meat Paradox Here’s a set of questions designed to explore the psychological reasoning behind eating meat while claiming to care about animals, and to gently guide someone toward questioning and possibly resolving the meat paradox: **Understanding Their Perspective** 1. **Empathy and Care**: - *Do you consider yourself someone who cares about animals?* - *Can you share some examples of how you show care and compassion toward animals?* 2. **Personal Beliefs and Actions**: - *How do you reconcile your care for animals with the decision to eat them?* - *Have you ever thought about the process that brings meat to your plate? How does that make you feel?* 3. **Cultural and Social Influences**: - *What role do you think culture and tradition play in your decision to eat meat?* - *Were you raised with the belief that eating meat is necessary or normal? How do you feel about that belief now?* 4. **Awareness and Information**: - *Are you aware of the conditions in which animals are raised and slaughtered for food?* - *Do you think it’s important to be informed about where your food comes from? Why or why not?* ### **Gently Challenging the Paradox** 5. **Cognitive Dissonance**: - *Do you ever feel conflicted about eating meat, knowing it comes from animals that had to suffer and die?* - *How do you usually resolve any discomfort or guilt you might feel about this?* 6. **Dissociation and Strategic Ignorance**: - *When you eat meat, do you think of it as coming from an animal, or do you try not to think about it? Why do you think that is?* - *Do you find it easier to eat meat if you don’t think about the animal behind it?* 7. **Custom and Hedonism**: - *How much do you think your enjoyment of the taste of meat influences your decision to eat it?* - *Have you ever considered whether your dietary habits are more about personal pleasure than necessity?* 8. **Marginalization of Empathy**: - *Do you believe that some animals deserve more empathy than others? Why?* - *How do you feel when you see people treating animals with cruelty or indifference? Does it change how you think about your own food choices?* ### **Guiding Toward Resolution** 9. **Exploring Alternatives**: - *Have you ever tried plant-based alternatives to meat? If so, what was your experience? If not, what has held you back?* - *Would you be willing to explore a diet that aligns more closely with your values of caring for animals?* 10. **Reflecting on Values**: - *What would it mean to you to live in a way that fully aligns with your values of compassion and nonviolence?* - *How would you feel knowing that your dietary choices no longer contribute to animal suffering?* 11. **Considering Change**: - *If you could continue to enjoy delicious and satisfying meals without harming animals, would you consider making a change?* - *What do you think would be the biggest challenge in moving away from meat? How might you overcome it?* 12. **Personal Reflection**: - *How do you think future generations will view the practice of eating animals? Do you think our society will move toward more plant-based diets?* - *What would it mean to you personally to be part of a movement that reduces harm to animals and promotes a more compassionate world?* These questions are designed to be reflective and non-confrontational, encouraging the person to explore their own beliefs and feelings without feeling judged or pressured. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding and create an opening for change.

Why it’s impractical to tell everyone to go vegan ❌. People in coastal areas , have saline soil… they can’t grow much veg food. For them what’s practical is fish 🐠 People in areas with heavy rainfall areas (tropical Vietnam), have damp soil… they can only grow rice, coconut, coffee. For them fish 🐠 & pigs 🐖 are more easy to breed & eat. People in desert areas (Arab), have water scarcity… they can’t grow any vegetables…for them sheep, 🐑 goats 🐐 meat is easy. People in snowfall areas (alps), for them meat from 🐐 , 🐑 , yak is easy But people living in areas with river water beds, plateaus can have lot of water resources & fertile land… they can grow almost everything. They should try eating plant based diet as much as possible. Even they can grow few livestock like cow, goats, chicken & feed them agricultural byproducts like hay, seed husk, etc. We can fulfil our daily nutrient requirements by just eating 100 grams of meat per day along with plant based food🍖 🥩. But we are eating a lot more meat than that❌. So I think people should minimise meat consumption & find a balance between plant based & animal based food to conserve resources & attain better health. 💚 For a person in costal area, fish is a lot cheaper than vegetables & fruits. People choose what’s local & budget friendly, not vegan friendly 🍃 Since it’s economically impractical for different geographical locations to import veg food from other regions, people will continue to eat local animal based products like dairy, fish & meat… A nation is not run by fantasies, a nation runs by economics 🇬🇧

While it's good that people clean up "ghost-nets" of the fishing industry, it is a mighty costly endeavour to reach the debts of where those fishing nets have been discarded. Before the inevitable end of the fishing industries, it will be necessary to make dumping those nets illegal in the first place and fines should cover the costs of getting those fishing nets back, driving up the costs of fish product making vegan products more attractive by price comparison.

Thank you for shedding light on this perspective for people to see. Mr. Beast truly has the opportunity to make a difference on this planet but turns a blind eye to exploit animals and resources for profit. You do an amazing job at these deep dive videos! There was a recent incident in Monterey where Vicente Joseph Arroyo murdered 80+ animals in a 3 hour period with dozens of random weapons. A video on psychology of these disgusting monsters who commit cruelty like this would be fascinating from your perspective. I understand and agree the largest amount of cruelty faced is in the food people eat as billions of animals are killed each year. Do you think maybe there’s correlation with that and how some people are not compassionate and commit animal cruelty to this degree? So many recent upsetting animal cruelty cases and it’s disgusting 😭💔
