I can think of no one who deserves the success they earned than Jenny and the Doan family. Not only have they built a thriving, multilayered business, their success has made waves in the wider world of quilting. They have demonstrated the strength of family, of working together, and of including those around them. And, yes, thank you Jenny for all you have taught me about quilting.

I never miss to watch Jenny, Missy and Natalie tutorial especially Jenny. She's truly an inspiration to me when I started quilting since 2016, until now. I watched her everyday while eating breakfast. I made a lot of quilts from watching her tutorial and those quilts are all distributed to the charity and my friends. They love the quilts. Thanks Jenny and please continue to inspire us quilters. God Bless and More success!!!

How many channels can you go on and watch someone go step by step making a “beautiful” quilt and you can rewind it dozens of times in case you hit a snag…..and it is free of cost for the pattern. Being a senior this has enabled me to give quilts to family members, graduates and some even for me. Bless Jenny and her family for sharing a wonderful hobby. 🪡🧵🥰🫶🙏

Anyone who criticizes a company that sells pre-cut quilt kits doesn’t have to worry about having a day job. Not everyone has the time to start a quilt from scratch, but maybe they can make the time to jump in and start sewing. Quilting has a fine tradition and history, but it’s not something sacred. If a craftspeople chooses to piece a quilt by hand, great! If they piece by machine, awesome! This company has exposed the craft to millions of folks who had never known the joy of quilting and engagement in a wonderful community. This family, company and town should be commended.

I attended a weekend retreat at Missouri Star several years ago. What fun. Jenny and her husband joined us for lunch each day. Such nice people! It was a quilter’s dream experience. I encourage every quilter to make this a part of their bucket list.

Quilting needs to be commercialized! How else are we going to get the supplies and inspiration we need to continue the craft?

Well said

What does this mean? Quilting is extremely commercialized and has been for years. Supplies, tutorials, patterns, books, etc. are all readily available! Thousands of KZbin videos, thousands of links to thousands of how-tos by hundreds of quilters - individually or companies. MSQC is great but so is Donna Jordan, Fat Quarter, Shabby Fabrics, I could go on forever so not sure what you might mean about getting supplies and inspiration. ???
@justmejust455312 күн бұрын
i wish they wouldnt over commercialize their prices though! Back in the day the whole point of crafting and making things from scratch meant because it was cheaper! now it cost 8x more to make it yourself then already made, making it extremely expensive to want to craft in todays age! it ruined the crafting era!

Jenny is fabulous to watch but MSQC didn’t donate those quilts they coordinated the delivery of those quilts from their customers, viewers and subscribers. Yes they still put in time and money delivering them but it was the customers and viewers that made and donated them.
