I do love Nathan's hotdogs. For many years I would take a couple road trips each year to visit family in NC. Just after getting into NC I would stop at JR Discount Outlet off the Interstate. They have a fantastic cigar shop/store and Nathan's Hotdog restaurant. I would fill up on gas, cigars & a few Nathan's dogs for the remaining trip to see my family~! Those were great days and I miss them~!! Shalom

Not just Michigan, also in NW PA Greek immigrants settled and sold chili dogs. The chili topping was dubbed "Greek Sauce", and it's put on dogs, burger and fries. "Pulos" is the most famous brand for the sauce in NW PA.

Mr.Lloyd Handwerker has also told me that Jimmy Durante and Eddie Cantor(who were both working in the Coney Island section of Bklyn,NYC at a saloon..Durante as a pianist and Cantor as a singing waiter)didn't encourage his grandpa to create his own hot dog stand..that Mr.Nathan Handwerker did on his own.

where i leave in the midwest cheap hotdogs cost $1.50 a pack and the quality ones cost $4. I haven't bought a hotdog in 2 years because i can get actual food cheaper. used eat them all time when they used to cost $1 or less a pack. i mean why buy a food that is nothing but undesired meats mixed with preservatives and chemicals to make it tasty especially if it's not cheap.

If you look up the word hotdog there should be a picture of a package of Nathan's hotdogs. That's the only hotdog that taste great. Nothing nothing even comes close and Bar S hotdogs should be taken off the market they smell like dead rats.
