always love in game where theymake neutral npc/enemies like they just sit there unnerving you but if you touch them fuck they are scary. too bad the armor drop rate is non existant

With the right setup and the Covenant of Champions active (and a lot of patience) it isn’t too bad. There are much worse farms. I’ve done it early several times across random play throughs with no discovery boosting items but the Traveler’s Hood and it is just patience lol.

I would love to see these guys return in Nightrein. Perhaps an encounter where one is fighting alongside a silver knight. Would be quite fitting considering they both have weapons that deal lightning damage.

maybe its just because i played ds3 first and that game is loaded with standard knight enemies, but i like the bucket helm much more than the other options. it really makes them stand out, gives them a more unique silhouette

Heide means pagan. Heide Knights have arrows in their head, meaning they are most deinitely dead and in hell, because they are pagans. Therefor it makes sense to say that Dark Souls games are about lost souls traveling through hell.

"It is unclear if Heide was a kingdom or just a land" It is pretty clear that Heide was a kingdom by the fact they are called 'Heide Knights' because _Knights_ don't just spontaneously pop into existance. A Knight is _knighted by a kingdom's ruler._ You can even be a Duke, Baron, or Lord in your own right _and still not be a Knight_ because the title of 'Knight' has to be awarded by a monarch and is not automatically conferred upon becoming an aristocrat. So the fact these are Heide *_Knights_* directly confirms Heide was a kingdom and had a reigning monarch to despense knighthood to these guys. It is strongly implied that Tower of Flame was the kingdom's capital, and the fact it is called at one point 'Drowned Heide' is likely a reference to 'Drowned Lyonesse', a mythical kingdom that existed on a southwestern peninsula of England jutting off Cornwall that was swallowed by the sea in a cataclysm. All, again, pretty much confirming Heide as a kingdom pretty clearly.

@ThyBigCheddar You can't have Knights without a ruler to Knight them and make them Knights. Knights don't get knighted by a pile of dirt and rocks. They are KNIGHTS. Officially. Canonically. That means there IS a monarch who MADE them Knights. That monarch ruled over Heide. Because they are KNIGHTS of Heide. It is pretty clearcut. Heide was a kingdom with a monarch. Otherwise they WOULDN'T be called 'Heide Knights'

Actually, it might be that the Iron Mask version is the unused one, or maybe it got fixed later.
