It's sickening how they participated and possibly initiated this woman's d*ath all because they didn't want to believe she might be having a medical emergency.. Nothing but sociopaths, allegedly..

If people think doctors aren't shady with what they do I have a horror story. A relative of mine about 20 years ago went into a hospital for a back operation fusion of L4 & L5. It was an anterior aspect approach. After the operation the doctor that was responsible for the relatives post op care never saw my relative once. Within a few days they had made a pronouncement that they'd be discharging her the next morning no matter what. Well, sometime during the night she went code blue. Apparently, they must have figured out she had gangrene in her and she had maybe a day or so left to live. She died in the early morning hours after the hospital basically gave a dog and pony show to the family. Her side of the family didn't have much of an education but the doctor who should have been taking care of her post operation got an earful by my mother who was a nurse for over 30 years. Chances are these doctors in this case knew there was a problem but didn't want to be bothered.

She had just flown in to visit family. They weren't even made aware of her arrival. She's disabled, she had medical issues on the plane. When they landed the ambulance abandoned her personal wheel chair at the airport, her phone was dropped and destroyed. She was taken to the hospital without her wheel chair, without her phone and then discharged onto the street without being given time to contact family. The police then took her into custody and let her die without further medical care while they ignored her asking for help. This wouldn't even have made it into public attention if she was homeless. This only came out from the family trying to find out where she was and what happened.

I don't believe for a second that the police officers in this video would have acted like this IF the hospital hadn't lied and told the cops "Oh, she's perfectly fine. We've medically discharged her so anything she says is an act". The hospital are the real bad guys here. And we all know why. The poor woman probably had no health insurance so the hospitals just kept kicking her out instead of saving her life. THEN, they call the police and lie about the patient because they know the patient is dying so they try to get rid of them before that happens. You can't really blame the cops when some nurse or doctor who didn't give a shit about the patient is telling them "She's just faking for attention. She's been abusive to the staff and we want her gone".

@@RshadowA That's where some situational intelligence comes in. Yes, the hospital said she was fine. But, she couldn't move. At a certain point, a thoughtful person would start questioning if they had all the right info because their info wasn't matching up with reality. In reality, they should have called social services. In fact, the hospital likely should have called them instead of calling the police. One thing to notice here is that no doctor ever speaks to any of these cops. They got their info from the hospital security guard. In any case, the WAY they treated her was extremely rude and unprofessional. And further, it was completely unnecessary. If they cannot handle transporting people who are unable or unwilling, then why are they there? How is it that doing their job must involve threats and acts of violence as a matter of course. It's disgusting. These were this woman's last moments of life. What did she do to deserve to be mocked, humiliated and tortured? Nothing.

In case you didn’t know, substance abuse is a mental illness. A criminal mindset is called criminal insanity. Both should get mental medical help and not kicked to the curb like garbage. If nothing else, the elderly should be placed in senior homes, not kicked to the curb after medical help was sought. It is absolute mistreatment and abuse of the mentally ill and of the elderly, though in this case of someone who was genuinely ill, if nothing else. And if you suddenly contracted some kind of a mental illness for some unknown reason, should you be treated like garbage, kicked to the curb? How about your children or parents or grandparents or siblings or aunts or uncles? This woman was begging, just crying, for help. She wasn’t cussing at or cursing them. She was seeking help. But they were all too heartless to help. All they did was abuse her in return. And if the medical workers and police were unable to handle a situation like this one because of lack of compassion, why did they not simply find another line of work that they could handle correctly? It takes special and precious and strong people to work in these fields, not the kind of people handling this situation. And if people aren’t up to the task, s/he should move on. Just sayin’!

The Hippocratic Oath takes a back seat to the accountants. This is what happens when insurance companies and bean counters get to make decisions about your care instead of Doctors.

If that was an act, she’s doing a great job of acting like a deceased person. She was obviously in physical distress and suffering! Those cops show such miserably poor judgment they don’t belong anywhere near a position of authority!

The hospital lied when they called the police. They told the police she was faking. This is disgusting even if they fully believed the doctor they should never have treated her with such cruelty.

The cops are so cruel here, this was frighteningly inhumane and who is next! How could 2 hospitals discharge this poor woman? I hope this family has a good lawyer because this is a multi-million dollar case! Lord help us all!

This woman was gasping and wheezing. She was begging for an inhaler. The hospital staff ignored her. The police manhandled her while she was gasping. They were laughing at her. The whole bunch of them need ro be held accountable.

The officer saying this is the lords day and all I want is coffee and oatmeal does not know the Lord our God and Savior. Christ NEVER turned ANYONE AWAY. He did not say take them to jail and treat them with disdain he said LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF. God was not present in the heart of any of those involved in the callous behavior of these individuals.

When he passes, the lord will simply say I never knew you. Thats the most likely outcome. Those cops were using the lord, invoking him in a way that they shouldn't. Blasphemer's and idolaters.

Right? Can you imagine what Jesus would think, say, and do if he was standing right there? The complete opposite of how this woman was treated. I'm not even a Christian, but this is not how folks are supposed to be acting.

You are so right, it is the trickle down effect. However the high officials are, so the ones under them will be . This is one of the worst cases of elder abuse from people, police and so called hospitals i have ever saw. Especially from somebody who's supposed to protect and help you. So sad and total unnessary. So many bullies on 1 , Pitiful, old helpless, dying woman, and all she wanted was help. All She Wanted Was To LIVE.

I would refuse to arrest her, or participate in her arrest. Dumping someone in her condition on the sidewalk violates the medical oath, but makes you liable and a party to it. The humane and ethical thing to do would be to ask about family and friends that could assist her.

Exactly! Patient dumping is illegal. Hospitals in LA got caught on CCTV dumping poor and homeless patients on skid row while still in their hospital gowns. They got into some serious trouble over it. Just because they tried to get the cops to do the dumping for them doesn’t divert the blame away from them.

I live in Knoxville and I have been to that hospitals emergency room. I will never choose to go to that hospital again due to the way I was treated when I arrived in the hospital with a broken arm back in 2018. Long wait not even an aspirin or tylenol for the intense pain I was in for the several hours I waited to be seen. I decided back then I would never go back to that hospital for treatment. The way this lady was treated by both hospital employees and the police officers involved in this case is unacceptable. Even homeless folks deserve to be treated with respect and compassion.
