Those Windsurfing Foil-board races were enjoyable and there were close calls during the same and right up to the finishing line.

There was interesting discussion by the commentators where competitors take the smallest foil they think will work in the conditions, which can result in a race stoppage if competitors fall off the foil. But should there be a cancellation if other competitors chose the right foil??? At Sylt there was ample race opportunity but in other events that might not be the case. It seems with the right foil selection there would be fewer race stoppages. Maybe all the races that were stopped was because of wind dropping below minimums but it sure didn’t feel that way for some of the stopped races… some there were riders still foiling and clearly dominating the fleet.
