Manaus é um berço de lutadores de jiu-jitsu no Brasil. Apesar de ser uma cidade afastada dos grandes centros econômico e cultural do país (Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo) tem produzido grandes atletas do MMA e do grappling gi e no gi. Além dos três em destaque, há outros manauaras brabos no cenário nacional da atualidade. Meyram Maquine, Diego "Pato", Samuel Nagai, dentre outros. A selva só produz monstros! Oss.
