It's really interesting, the Silverback sort of pets him in a comforting, gentle kind of way, protects him from the other curious gorillas, and keeps looking at the enclosure entrance as if waiting for people to show up. Really demonstrated remarkable intelligence there.

After that you want things but you just failed. Because of your stupidity an innocent soul has to die. Yes, you want the gorilla to die, but on the other hand if the parent is not a selfish fk he or she would want to die if the mistake can be solved that way. Because your mistake cost innocent lives.

I'm sure the parent was ready to jump in but was told not to. That could easily make things worse. Gorillas seems to have a deep compassion for babies and the young. There are videos of organutangs and gorillas smiling and pointing to a mother holding a baby close to the glass. There is some sort of awareness when you are around them that they also are self conscious beings with deep compassion. Very fascinating. Breaks my heart man has hunted them to near extinction.

We all generally have a very similar social structure and are very sensitive and social animals (after all, humans generally have difficulty coping with being completely alone and cut off from contact with other humans for extended periods of time). As long as they don't interpret a human's presence as a *threat* it would be very unlikely that they would intentionally hurt a human, particularly a young human who was injured and unconscious.

I watched this video after learning about the incident that happened at the Cincinnati zoo. I have to say my heart is broken and I've been bawling my eyes out. Wild animals have more compassion than we realize and this video and the incident which occurred recently is proof of that. I am not aware of what happened in this particular video, but what I do know is that what happened at the Cincinnati zoo could have completely been prevented. After reading numerous reports of witnesses, it is evident that the boys mother failed to properly watch her son. Her son had made it clear that he wanted to go to the moat and his mother simply said no and paid no more attention to him. The boy then went through shrubs and climbed a barrier only to fall into the moat. This is clearly a rambunctious child with no discipline. There are many 4 year olds who are disciplined and/or supervised better. Harambe was clearly trying to protect this child and the crowd only made the situation worse.

Is it so hard to believe that these gentle giants have far more intelligence than we realised? That he could see the child was hurt and protected it? As much as we say 'they don't belong in cages' it is truly the last safe place left for these great creatures. They are driven out of their homes by greedy logging companies, but at least here people can learn about them, see how similar we are to them, understand them, and, as shown here, see firsthand how much like us they really are. It acted as we would when we saw a hurt child. It stood by it until help arrived. Alpha male silverbacks only attack when they or their family group is in danger. He could sense the child was no threat, hence why the screaming did not make him nervous. They are remarkable creatures the great apes. They show us as much about ourselves as they do them.

jayden killingexp I wouldn't go that far. They are as smart as a human child, but dolphins seem to undertand us more and improvise. For example, there is a vod on youtube of a dolphin with a fishing hook stuck in its fin. It saw a diver and knowing that humans have hands, it swam over to the diver so he could remove the hook. They are also aware of other species being in peril, they have been known to save us from sharks and rescue drowning humans. I think dolphins are just as smart as us. There body to brain size ratio is about the same as our, the great apes have it slightly smaller, but they seem to lack the little difference that makes the big difference. If gorillas are just as smart as us, what is holding them back? Dolphins lack opposable thumbs and the ability to create things we take for granted here on land - EG fire. That means they cannot evolve technologically as we have, but they have proven they have the intelligence to think creatively.

he toughtt the kid was one of the cubs of their own, a mother with a baby around her neck came over also, looking worried. We look like them, at least when they're little, so it's highly likely they just thought he was a weird looking gorilla. A cry is a universal call for help and baby gorillas have one not too different from humans. He hurried away as he didn't want to face an enraged gorilla mother that would be coming within an instant.
@VanillaSnake219 жыл бұрын
18aidanme actually animals are very lienient, if they think it might look like thier own they won't attack. Otherwise they risk killing their own. And there are other instances where apes tried to nurse human babies even at other zoo.
@18aidanme9 жыл бұрын
VanillaSnake21 Like I said, they're probably familiar with humans, they would probably notice the kid looks extremely similar to one of their own, but they're very intelligent and mainly use their eyes to see, they can easily differentiate a threat to a kid in pain, Gorillas are peaceful and don't try to attack unless provoked.
@hamzahalal71419 жыл бұрын
nah he knew his not a gorilla!! he has been dealing with humans and kids for a long time!! unless his a retarted gorilla!! animals love humans not all but many just as many humans love animals, for example fools like you think a dog is a mans best friend!! well not true at all, dogs are loyal because u feed and shelter them, many dogs would not attack someone killing their owner, your dog would not do shit!!! but dolphins who barley interact with us we don't feed or shelter them, they risk their lives for humans many times end up dead rescuing humans if a pregnate woman was amongst a group of humans drowning they would rescue her first they can tell shes carrying a baby, dolphins are smarter then dogs nd much closer to us humans, we don't need to feed them and bribe them with treats for them to help us. I just wanna say to all people who say they hate humans and love animals FUCK YOU your a sick retarted human!!! there are over a billion amazing great super human people who love life and other living things, and no HUMANS ARE NOT A DESEASE people like you are
@VanillaSnake219 жыл бұрын
GoodGuyDom11 you can't compare Koko to gorillas living in the zoo. Do you know how many years of daily training it took for her to use sign? Gorillas are not stupid at all, but instict still takes effect. In a study baby chimps took a big furry doll as their mother and climbed on the back for help. It's evident they're very intelligent because they understood that something was wrong with this creature. I don't think they can readily identify a human especially a small one curled up in a ball. Evolution doesn't let him attack since then he might attack an albino hairless baby gorillas that are sometimes born and in general any gorilla that looks weird. Wiping out his own population. Hence he was careful with him.
@WALTKRIEG9 жыл бұрын
VanillaSnake21 Take care, the chimps are really dangerous animals. The baby chimps are funny, but when they become adult they become killers who possess super human physical power.

Stunned that the dad didn’t go in after him. Leaves his son lying there. A male zoo attendant and a paramedic jumped into the enclosure from the wall, unaided. If that had been my child, I would’ve been the first one over that wall.

Jumping into the pit would just make the situation worse. They don't see the child as a threat, so they don't attack him. You jumping in there would just make them angry, and probably get you injured, if not killed.

Its a low fucking wall who anyone can climb up on and fall into the pit. I dont know if its normal for Americans to be so stupid, cuz here in Sweden and other places ive been to, they atleast have some Iq left to know that you cant just have a small wall. Ty.
@Amzingred8 жыл бұрын
i agree on americans just being stupid in general, but this video doesn't show exactly how the exhibit is presented as far as the fence and structure that keeps people at bay,
@metazoxan28 жыл бұрын
Aneisha Barrett Human life is more valuable. Even though Gorillas are smart they don't have the same self awareness and consciousness we do. Humans are actually different from other creatures on Earth is more ways than just our IQ level. Meaning it's not arrogant to put ourselves above animals or say we are different from them. It's a legitimate fact. However I will say although I do view humans as higher I still don't approve of animal cruelty because there is no need to just torture animals for no reason.
@Jazziijemish8 жыл бұрын
