Today, we're going to take a look at the USG TiScribe Go, a pen that's an improvement in both value and function over an existing gem. As you might expect, it's a beautiful thing.

I would like to see a video dedicated to ink. There are so many choices it would be great to seem them compared, rather than just the pens.

Check out the "Unsharpen" youtube channel. Have learned a lot about pens and inks watching his channel. Combines nicely with the selection of pens that I buy off Nick's recommendations, lol.

@karen that would be as boring as watching ink dry.

Stayed at a Hampton Inn last weekend. Unfortunately, no pens. Looks like Nick got the last one.

I am sure the real truth is that Nick has a drawer full of them, he took them all!

He has a collection of those too. I knew it. I have a collection of their towels … judge me. I’m not a good person for taking them, but I have a lot of towels if you ever need one ☝️.

I have a full size on order. Been running a MB rollerball since graduation many moons ago. I was hesitant about a Ti pen but they seem great and I felt the need to support a company willing to DROP prices in this insane EDC economy.

I’ve got one of these bad boys on the way, the full size Ti. It’ll be my first bolt action pen, so I’m super excited to check it out!

I’m really happy with this new version I have been wanting to buy from Urban Survival Gear for a while but the price and finish of the V3 made me hold off and I am glad I did since I much prefer this new version. I already pre-ordered and I can’t wait to get it.

Re.: Parker refills- You can now get Uniball Jetstream refills in the Parker format. They work very well and (imo) are much better than either gel or regular ball point refills.

I love my TiScribe pen, though i had to sand and polish the inside of the bolt carrier to get the Cross refills to fit smoothly. How loose does the clip screw need to become on this model for the clip to fall out? If this pen was version 2 it could have been "The Dark Write". Missed opportunity.

I love the dark titanium and then the contrast lighter milled titanium of the finger grooves.

I have pens and paper pads from Hilton Garden and I’m not ashamed anymore about this. I feel free now (it’s not like I was going to stop taking the pens 🖊 and the paper pads - they’re super useful in the car 🚙). Nick, you have set me free. Even nick grabs a good pen or two. 👌🏻

Have you diddled any of the bastion gear pens?
@rong.24572 жыл бұрын
I should be receiving this exact pen in the next couple of days. I also ordered the $6 tool to break the pen down, and I ordered the adapter tip to use Pilot G2 mini refills as I have a bunch of those pens and I like how they write. On another note, why the hell is your subscriber number so low? I mean, the entertainment factor is sometimes better than the product you’re reviewing.
@turnedintoawholething5 ай бұрын
@NickShabazz I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if you still have the UrbanSurvivalGear TiScribe-Go Mini AND if you would be willing to sell it. I got one years ago and am kicking myself I didn't get a second incase something ever happened to it! Thanks for the review!

Great review as usual Doc.

I want the pen but I’m a little sketched out about that clip system. If the clip was also threaded so that the screw went into it as well I’d be fine with it, but it’s held in purely by the friction force between the clip and the screw. Vibrations in general can loosen screw so there’s a chance the clip could just fall out if the screw loosened accidentally
@cadengriffith12262 жыл бұрын
I dont like the "push button" on the back bc it seems like it would expose the tip when using pockets with velcro flaps like in my cargo shorts.

I like that ur expanding into pen territory, what I’d like to see if a Scribble comparison. Though we won’t be able to “feel” what u feel, but upclose shots can give us an idea how smooth and how much bleeding the pen do. Just a recommendation, thanks!
@RoyaleWitCheese042 жыл бұрын
Expanding? How can he do a preview of the pen writing when we all use different refills? You must be new here?
@twai80362 жыл бұрын
@@RoyaleWitCheese04 That’s like saying how can he review knives when everyone does a different modification? Of course he’s gonna review the standard ink. Think
@NickShabazz2 жыл бұрын
I'm with IBe: Really, you're asking me for a refill review. I talk about things like balance where relevant, but for the most part, it's not super helpful to say "oh, this EasyFlow is just like the rest of them".
@thui78892 жыл бұрын
I think a simple “this writes like a bic, or writes like a Tuff writer” would suffice. Getting too deep into it is unnecessary, but it’s not a bad idea just to describe some sense of tactile feeling since this is a pen after all
@RoyaleWitCheese042 жыл бұрын
@@thui7889 for folks that are new to the edc community, literally everyone has a different preference when it comes to the refill. As soon as we (edc folks) get a pen, we instantly put our preferred refill in. So how the refill writes is…it doesn’t make sense because none of us use the same refills. Nick has shown he likes Mont Blanc. I prefer Pentel. Others like Pilot…none are the same. Does that make sense?
@sinister_knife2 жыл бұрын
Such a clever design. But still wish it carried deeper

Do you know of the Montblanc Fineliner refill fits in the larger one of the new GO? My original it does fit but I know the tolerance is a tighter in the new one. Thanks in advance

Now with the added Made in Texas milled logo standard on each for $99 (on sale) the milled made in Texas logo really stands out the Dark Ti stonewashed treatment. Kelvin is awesome he doubled up on the competition with himself like Shabazz said.

@preston08082 жыл бұрын
Same here. I still don't get why there needs to be a protrusion out of the top. To me it looks like a click-pen troll, like they're purposely making ppl think that's how it deploys. The clip deploy is already unorthodox enough. That said, it still looks like a great pen that I'd love to have
@dr.oetqer2 жыл бұрын
The 'fals' clicky button on top would be something I enjoy, also looking at others trying to engage it. Yes, I can be an basterd sometimes.

Maybe because I don't have them in hand...but I don't SEE a whole lot of aesthetic difference between the 3 versions. Boardroom or worksite doesn't seem to fit into the decision making....at least from afar.

@@gstrader73 I own plenty of pens and knives. I appreciate the pen for what it is and they can ask $1000.00 for it if they like and someone would defend that price. I just think it's more like a $45-$55 dollar pen when I compare it to others in that price range.
