I really like the form factor and design. For the price range personally I'd rather just carry a Leatherman with a bit kit for the versatility. If there was a less expensive stainless steel version that would really interest me.

What about big idea design makes one with double ended bits? That way you can have 4 to 6 different bit sizes in the same size tool/package

also what about a 2d bit version to expand on that idea. half the thickness means double the bits :thinking:

20 years ago I was the facility manager at a College. I wore a suit & tie but always carried a Swiss Army Knife & Penlight Torch (flashlight in USA). I bought a similar pocket tool kit from Germany - it was the best besides my Leatherman for what I needed.
@j0shll0yd3 жыл бұрын
I guess if a screwdriver is something you use even a few times a week, randomly, then sure. But if someone is going to do any real “screwing”, car work in a garage, computer repair in your home, you’re going to have a real screwdriver, something with a substantial handle; or better yet, a drill. A multitool with a screwdriver makes a lot more sense.
@NiSE_Rafter3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. When he mentions leaving x or y in his truck or backpack I question why not just put real screwdrivers instead since the pocket constraint is gone. I had a cheapo pocket driver thing and basically never used it, usually went for a multitool or proper tools instead. They are neat little things though and that's enough reason to own one for those willing to pay the asking price.

The EDC Weekly takes 3-4 days to make at this point. So if I did it weekly, it would be the only thing I produce on the channel. Pair that with the fact that, on average, the EDC Weekly gets about half the to 75% of the views of other videos, it's really more than just a logistical challenge to make it weekly again. But I'm working on it. Have been for well over a year.

For an extension solution built into the design, a simple system of fairly small notches and tabs could work. They could have 2 tabs that protruded inward a small amount into the sleeve section, offset from each other 180°, and about a third of the way up the sleeve. Then have 2 corresponding notches on the inner post, obviously the full length of the post, and also offset from one another by 180°. Then you could slide the post into the sleeve, noches aligned to tabs, and have the regular length driver. Take the sleeve out, rotate 90°, slide it back in, and it would catch at the tabs, and now you have a driver that is 60-70% longer (depending on if you calculate length including the bit).

Word of caution for international customers. I’m in Canada and bought this based on this review. I wanted to directly support the company and not buy through Amazon. They redirect you to the international site. It ships from China postal and in the shipping fine print it says it could take 1-2 months. Mine has gone dark for 10 days with no shipping info once it was “on the plane”. Next time I’ll pay the extra 30$ and get it from Amazon. I wouldn’t mind so much if it was better traceable.

If they redesign it to work with double sided bits like the klein, milwaukee, or wiha 11 in 1's use it would add just a little length, but it would give you 6 drivers with 3 bits.
