When he said "China is the future!" Look at the depth of seriousness on his face. He meant that wholeheartedly! He just echoed my realization back in 2016 when i visited China. China is indeed the future. The compassion and dedication of their leaders towards the good quality of lives of ordinary Chinese is beyond imagination. When I wrote an article comparing the nature of politics, leadership and socio economic development between China and USA back in 2018 on Quora, I got banned from the platform for telling the truth and praising the Chinese version and how the system suit their enviroment and how demoncrazy has miserably failed most practicing countries. I worked in Foshan for 6 months loved it. I have also worked in Huzhou loved that even more the hotel was 5 star and by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I am top tier with Hilton, Sheraton and Holiday Inn. The buffet at night was out of this world Very sad when it was time to go home. I love China

Made-in-China. True. But its IN-NAME-ONLY as the final assembler & boxing. China is at the tail end of the entire supply chain with the least value-add (usually low manual labor) for the products as the final assembler. So China's share is less than 10% of the TOTAL COST of the product. One most oft cited example is the iPhone. China's contribution is the cheap low-tech casing, maybe now some share of the LCD display, PCB assembly and lastly labor & factory. All in all China earns just on average ~4% of the cost of every iPhone produced. The real meat in the supply chain i.e. ones with highest value-add is in semicon chips (processors, RF, memories, storage, amplifiers, etc.), but they are all imported from outside of China. That's the reason why China wants move up the value chain to earn a larger share of the pie and is upgrading itself in the semicon supply chain but it seems the traditional players (US, Japan, EU) is now countering this move by China. I'm sure you read a lot of news about this.

When China do get to be self reliant it can produce the same high tech goods far cheap than other countries. How long will these competitors able to survive without government help?

This buffet restaurant is really excellent and cheap. In most London eat as much as you can buffet restaurant, all they provide are cheap food. There aren't any expensive food like seafood, roasted duck, or beef steak etc. Also, drinks have to be paid seperately, and they are damn expensive.

Good morning Jason. What an informative video! I love it😋 The buffet is so cheap👍 I had a harbor view buffet in Hong Kong but it was over HKD400. Anyway, What name of this fifth tier city in Guizhou? I would like to visit it😃 Also I'm going to use this KZbin clip in my Chinese classes, and I am sure my students would like it. Later, I may ask you some tips to live in China since I am planning for moving to China in the near future.
