This is why the US government has banned Chinese EVs and batteries, because the US is losing the game, the only thing a loser can do is flip the table.

@merrick6484
@merrick6484 14 күн бұрын
Industrial 4.0 is more than a light-less (No human operator) factory, but yes, its part of Industrial 4.0. Industrial 1.0: Upgrade from human to steam engine power manufacturing. Industrial 2.0: Computer assisted with data collection and analysis. Industrial 3.0: Automation and robotic assisted on every step of manufacturing. Industrial 4.0: Customised manufacturing with consumer behaviour integration. Example: The consumtion of every products used by a city / nation will be collected and analysed, and feed in as input data before automated production. Whenever I wish to buy a packet of chocolate, 5 lt of milk, a jumble pack of toilet paper roll, or anything. My local super market will stock my products at the right time, right package and right brand. Manufacturer don‘t have to rely on human estimation of production items. Thats industrial 4.0.

Think it through. 1000km (600 miles) Drop that to .... 400(?) for a van. How many times do you drive a campervan 400 miles without a break? . My point? No more "house" battery. . Drive 300. Stop for a brew, top up in 15 minutes, drive 200, 50% remaining, you use about 5% overnight *maximum* for heating, cooking, etc. If you must have a backup, a small all on one "power station". It's a whole new ballgame.

Not only a conundrum, but dangerous. . Huge global economy with deficit out of control, rooted in a failing Technology, now facing the *next* technology, championed by a country they have designated "a threat" (they're not). . When the failing country has the largest military on the planet, what might they see as one "solution"? . "Big Stick"? . The alternative is to essentially go on branded knew to the new "threat" and request they be allowed to join the game. . What are the odds?

@10:00, a small correction. While the accessory battery directly operates all the computors, lights, etc. it is the TRACTION (or drive battery) that resupplies that smaller ("auxilliary" or "starter") battery (12V or in newer cars, 48V). The battery you display is quite large for an auxilliary battery and i think it's the main battery for a small EV or trike.
@BarrettYT
@BarrettYT 27 күн бұрын

You mean "what is the gravimetric and volumetric Density of the cells" . Then you can work out what *fits* in the vehicle. . Next, What is the cost per kWh at pack level. . Now you know how much a specific pack will cost.

Tell me what US has produced competitively over the last decade. Most of their branded products are manufactured in low cost centres overseas and the majority is in China. Pringles chips are produced in Thailand. LAYS chips in China just to name the potato chips snack we eat on entertainment and leisure hours. US is good in services like managing financial instruments on Wall Street, a virtual supportive to the real production economy. It creates values in that sense by providing financial resources, yes, one of the four main inputs in the production of goods. Branding, marketing n franchising are their strengths - Starbucks, Mc D, KFC etc. Most of the US physical tools if any are not from US directly. If you have, it is very expensive. US based competitiveness has been declining ever since it off-loaded these to overseas centres. Even research centres have moved off shores. Now it woke up and realised that it cannot compete. Hence the tariffs put up. Tariffs have consequences and it should be short-term with an underlying plan to strengthen the internal process and efficiency to compete. I dont see such plan like what Lee has provided. More barriers to be put up by US and the sad thing, they are hoping to drag EU down as well. I just hope EU could see the light
