I remember when the Costco in Manchester opened nearly 30 years ago! Loved it, and it was very cheap. Best thing was the taste trolleys, don’t they do those anymore?
@yodaamiКүн бұрын
Seems very expensive. Much cheaper in Tesco for cans of tomato for instance. You can get 1 for 40p that’s less than half the price per can that you quoted. Bottles of wine £10?!! I thought the cost of living was much lower in China. I know my daughter is renting a nice flat for less than £200 per month in Shenyang. So I was expecting comparative pricing….but hey ho.

Why is it China can open such nice mega malls while in the USA stores are closing due mob grab and run crime. America has lost their moral compass. America is in decline and the US doesn’t like to play second fiddle to anyone. As they say, America bombs and China builds!
@thomashom75142 күн бұрын
Hopefully this video will dispel all the China bashers and preconceived negative stereotyping. You have things that can be improved but it shows a nation on the rise. You can walk the streets at night without getting robbed, no homeless sleeping on the sidewalks.

China has been a power house of productivity and inventions used worldwide for millennia and it was the west that copied Chinese technology. later western governments and western propaganda labelled Chinese scientists/ engineers and their goods something to be avoided at all cost and laughed at. Now the truth is coming out they were scared of the competition, it was western countries that did not want free trade because they were so fearful of the competition. Now we know why.

Costco is all about impulse shopping. Everytime you go in you expect to buy 5 items but end up buying 50

2 mins in, biggest difference comparing to the "OG" Costcos is that in the US there are no goods like drones/cameras stacked openly, you must get them from staff during checkout from a paper card you took.

Don't like these comparisons 'cos they don't show how much locals have to earn to buy these things; would be nice to have an hourly wage (local average) price of these products e.g. X costs 2.3 hours of average wage. Just sayin ...

Foreigners don't like Chinese brands. They love Starbucks and Tesla. They love German cars. At this point, Chinese EVs are the best, but the foreigners in China only want a Tesla. They queue for Starbucks and bash China's brands. It seems like only vloggers Taz and Libby don't mind Chinese brands because they want to experience what the country has to offer.
@BarrettYT4 күн бұрын
Actually, I own a Chinese brand of EV, and in my opinion it's way better than a Tesla. I also prefer Manner coffee, which is also a Chinese brand.

I live in Alberta, Canada and the prices seem similar to here. I grew up eating Campbells soup and I still eat it on a regular basis (both vegetable and chicken). My wife is from China and we both like the Creme Brulee. We have three Costco stores within easy driving distance, and one of them is only about 15 minutes away. We're retired so it's always nice to go there mid-week as it is quiet with lots of parking.
@woojongson54314 күн бұрын
Quiet? That is way better than here. I live in the suburb about 40 minutes away form Seattle and have a Costco store nearby. The thing I hate is there are tons of people and cars inside or outside whenever I go there. It is a very very crazy place.

I know there’s slow times throughout the day but this Costco looks dead. I’m in the U.S. in a not very populated city and our Costco is mostly packed and only ever gets this slow in the video when it’s 30 mins before closing on weekdays. But this is China with 4x the population.
