Except that too often the preacher hasn't got there himself and doesn't know the terrain. And he has to yet learn himself. It's best the Holy Spirit does the leading. The preacher cannot lead where he hasn't been. So he can lead them wrongly. Derek Prince led wher he had experience in the Holy Spirit. Chuck Smith was good in guiding. And many are. But they are to serve and not to take the place like a little.pope over anyone . I prefer someone who has had gone through some real hard experiences and learned from them to guide too. Read the epistles and you see this well. Paul and the apostles were taught through hard knocks to follow Christ in the Holy Spirit. They had no cars, planes , nice platforms and cushy furniture and a home to go too. And huge libraries and money making commercial products. The new Testament was still in process of bring written. Paul and Peter were killed by Nero. And most the disciples faced similar fates. And many Christians ar a time when the violence and decadence of Rome was at its heights. And the barbarians were savage and brutal. But the empire Rome built governed the seas, they had good mail system, and the general Roman command kept things safer for travel. The roads went many places throughout the conquered empire. So they could travel. But how? On foot, in ships, and the ways of transportation that hadn't much improved till the last recent centuries. Read of Paul's tribulations. Read how Stephen was stoned. How they Hid in caves and catacombs. I am not making light of what is done today. But these men lived supernaturally. And that's where we should be. And I certainly know I need to learn that more than I have ever so far. Even John Westley rode horse back thousands of miles to preach the Gospel. This older preacher here I think is tight about the watered down gospel we mostly received. This is good news. And if good news isn't going to lead. Bad news and screaming about everybody's weaknesses isn't going to help. Preaching endless salvation messages. Chuck Smitb learned that hard. But boy what a difference. We need to get somehow in the demonstration and power of the Good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as Paul came to know it. Good message here. That's my very humble opinion. And that's all it is.

@@pierrelabounty9917 well said and true! IMO this is why the scriptures also refer to “elders”…They been through it and practice what they preach (at least the ones referred to in the scriptures) …
@jacobjohn7605Ай бұрын
@pierrelabounty9917 This answer is like Saying "Oh, you like bread? So if I poisoned it, then you would die, so why would you like bread?" Yes, if the preacher is wrongfully leading His people, maybe micromanaging their lives or whatnot, but a preacher preaches scripture and has only the authority given to their commands from scripture, thus if a preacher commands you out of scripture, you ought to do it. If they move you based on scripture, then you ought to do it.

You must remember that what you hear is from a man who has lived a life of brokenness and contrition. There's power of the word of God when the God of the Bible has lifted you from brokenness and set you on fire. Christ is esteemed and lifted higher than an agenda or a name. It is tge spirit of God that touches you not this man. Eventhough he was completely obedient to the leading of the spirit in this sermon
@kristenspencer975110 ай бұрын
I'm sure the same might have been said of Peter or Paul, though according to scripture, other people who were around at the time were impacted by Paul's letters and surprised that his public appearance or perhaps speaking was not what they expected from someone who wrote such strong, convicting letters. It's true that we tend to see the person and not the Spirit at work in a person. But God works that way through every believer. He works through weakness so it is obvious that the power is from God (I can't recall the verse that says this) @@richardwillix8906

What? The demands of Holiness wre met by Christ for us. We receive Him, we are partakers of His Holiness. We become Holy in Him. It's a state we are to grow in.
@pierrelabounty99178 ай бұрын
Christ paid the debt for each of and we in the faith of Him. Repentance doesn't make us Holy. You can repent from now till the end of the world and still not change. You don't enter His grace by force of will. We are flat out done and we receive Him. It is a work of His Word and the Holy Spirit upon our hearts. God makes the choice to receive us in Christ. We come in agreeing to this gift. We come humbly and broken. This is is His good news to us. And this is all by the will of God. We are made Holy in Him. Not in ourselves or as a transaction cause we confess our sins. Here you do this, then God owes says I guess you csn be Holy now. We are made Holy by and through His blood once and for all. God's outside time. We are partakers of His Holiness in Christ when we receive Him as an offering for our sins. And we are being made Holy through time too. It's a process In time for us. As we are being renewed in the Spirit daily. We are still becoming new creatures, but the process has begun. And it's by grace through faith..The enemy of our souls id against all of this progress, and because of the weakness of our flesh for this world any trial, problem, circumstance, or allurment can cause us ti doubt God's good will towards us and His love for us. And beset us, and cause us to fall back. To wander off path, to even get confused and rebel. Or to any wayfaring accommodations that seem more pleasant to us, only because we lose our focus on Christ and back on ourselves. Thank our Father in Heaven He chastens who He loves to our benefit. And He is going to get us Home. It gets easier when we are assured of this and we don't think He has hung us out to dry. Not fitting in thus world, yet not in the next one. The end of Hebrews is so good on this. And we the more we are rooted in theclive of God for us in our hearts the more our faith overcomes..this world, the weaknesses of our flesh, and the evil one. That's my hope and faith. And that's the assurance I have that He we will be more than conquerors in Him in the end. Don't always feel that way at all. But my feelings change where faith and prayer lead the way..
@pierrelabounty99178 ай бұрын
See why Paul says don't you yet know ye are made partakers of His holiness. Our bodies are a temple. May the Holy Spirit make us know and live in this. If we repent over this. Its repent from from not bring who we are. A reverse hypocrisy. We are in Christ, but living as though we are in the world yet. That's why our minds need renewing by the Holy Spirit to get our moorings straight. Beginning to know who we are and becoming. Christ in us the hope of glory. Otherwise we will be trying to get saved a lot. That's a recipe for backing away. It's mental and emotional torture. The kind.the enemy of our souls likes. My.thoughts on it. Believe what you want if you don't see anything in any of what I am trying to convey.

This is absolutely beautiful to listen to. I wish I had known of this gentleman years ago and if my father were still alive he would have enjoyed listening to him as well. All of the famous preachers did not inspire the word of God. They taught on sowing a seed and God rewarding them. As though you could buy your blessings. It's been awful over the last 40 and more years. I started to not believe in anything, but I remembered when I was a child that it was said that the time would come when people's minds would become disillusioned and the false prophets would be many and people would become lovers of money and not lovers of God. The Falling Away!! Because I didn't believe or became so confused that I would need to get back into the Bible and start back from square one and move forward. I found one other preacher and this gentleman here that speak truth and I am so happy it is like a breath of fresh air. God willing there will be more like them.❤ Wendy
