This sermon IS powerful! How much have we been deceived! Just because some of us won't sin like others, we THINK( because we are not) of ourselves as better in the eyes of GOD UNTIL we understand the person of JESUS CHRIST and His work on the cross. Then we will know that our works are like filthy rags before a most Holy God. Living under such expensive grace, for it cost the most precious substance in the universe: the LORD'S blood, we ignorantly think that we can do all things as pleasing our flesh. How many professed Christians will be rebuked by CHRIST! I fear I could be one of them.

If you can't handle the truth, his sermons aren't for you. Truth hurts and when hurts is treated with the correct medicine, it heals! His sermons are liken to the strong and correct medications to treat this sin cursed soul. Heal me Lord. I need healing in my soul.

A hammer, a fire, and a sword are not gentle or tender when used. Listen, listen to be transformed not to find fault. This kinda of preaching makes sinners and the complacent very uncomfortable.

You hit the nail on the head. Preaching is supposed to bring discomfort to bring folks from a self created cuddly god to the God of heaven who is a Just God. Put on the full armor of God.

He never said it wasn’t. I’m about halfway through, but he called out that finding God’s heart in your prayer closet, and this is only possible through the Holy Spirit. Are you such a sinner that you are not worthy to follow Christ and act as he has directed? Or are you saved by Grace to now act in power and righteousness to love and serve all those around us? Flowing with the Holy Spirit to speak the Word with power and authority, so your words pierce the hearts of those listening? (Just like the words of the deciples did the Jews after Pentecost.

It's this kind of yelling that does nothing to adorn the Gospel. This is what the World does...yell. Philippians 4:5 says to 'let your gentleness be evident to all"... To bad, WHAT he was saying was good...they way he was saying it was arrogant...kind of reminds me of Moses striking the rock instead of speaking to it..(.Numbers 20)

Just because it doesn’t adorn the gospel for nick b doesn’t mean it doesn’t adorn for others. You quote Philippians 4:5 and use it to tear down a brother. Please do not forget that John 13:35 says “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” When the world sees you using the Most Holy Word of God to criticize, and later mock your own brothers, they do not see that you are a disciple of Christ. Be careful nick b. I wouldn’t want your witness to be destroyed via KZbin comments. By the way, the verse you used didn’t apply to the volume of one’s preaching, but the modesty of one’s living.
