there's a mic problem as her hair keeps rubbing against it and creating a distracting noise. I'd say it interfered with my user experience a bit.

Great sum up, but I'm a designer and I absolutely hate design thinking, I really do. I'd rather have a set of requirements derived user research, i.e interviews etc, and then rapidly prototype, test then iterate. It's never failed.

Don't call a video "actually does" and then read off the exact same vague corporate jargon on every web page and job posting that causes people to not understand what UX designers actually do in the first place. just change your title to "Another vague Description of what UX Designers Do that won't clarify anything"

got u fam. you basically skip the research and testing and go straight to mockups cause somebody up the chain had a brilliant new idea and it needs to be done by tomorrow. then you hand the mockup off to the devs without any style guide and watch it go full bepis, while you are busy barfing out the next visionary idea :D

"Real users?" If I have a million customers, aren't they "real users?" I've figured the cube out. The million customers tell me all I need to know.

Hey Bernard, 1 million customers would certainly give lots of data points on your product / service, but then filtering that through testing to prioritise the most cost effective / high priority areas to focus on is vital too.

The video content was definitely helpful, but I have to point out that having the magic mouse there while teaching about UX is very concerning unless you want to show an example of a very bad UX. And great job on rubbing hair on the mic, very "soothing".
