Your tutorials are the best - you film close up and tell us exactly where to make each stitch. And you repeat plenty so we all can crochet along with you to get started. This is a great pattern if you don't want a complicated pattern. Relax and enjoy this one!

My goodness, THANK YOU FOR THE EXPLANATION with the stitches! When you said hills and valleys it all fell into place! I'd spent a 1/2 hr pausing, rewinding, pausing, rewinding another site...it was grueling. You could hear the 'click' in my head when you said "hills and valleys"!!! Merci beaucoup 🤗

Thank you, Cat! If you use a variegated yarn, just be sure to use one with a colorway that isn't too short and choppy, otherwise the detail of the stitch will get lost and the colors will look muddled. 😉🕸☕🕷

Fiber Spider It's a gorgeous one , I did it as soon as your released it. I've done 4 Seaside shawls. One in hand dyed by myself 4ply, 1 in malabrigo 4ply. 1 in Mandala and 1 in the sirdar cake. Amongst some of the other shawls of yours 😊 Thankyou for all that you do for us ladies, and gentlemen of course. 😊💕 It's surprising how different plys can change the look of one pattern. 💕Amanda xx

Which hooks do you recommend? I get so frustrated because the “hook” part of the hooks just don’t seem deep enough to grab the yarn. I always use the hook size recommended. Looove your videos.
@pamm2230
@pamm2230 4 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it helps to move up a size or so in hook size or down depending on the size of the yarn.

It can be trial and error with hooks. I highly recommend getting an ergonomic hook for help in longer crochet time without having body issues. A easily found brand in Boye hooks found at your local hobby stores and even at Walmart. The Cadillac of hooks is the Clover Amour brand. It seems to just glide in the crochet process without having yarn splitting issues. I recommend getting one of each brand to start in readily used sizes such as [H, I & J].
@pamm2230
@pamm2230 4 жыл бұрын
I personally started with the Boye hooks brand as they were easily available at my local grocery store where I shopped weekly. I have since tried and prefer the "Cadillac" brand of Clover Amour hooks. These I find in the familiar craft stores where some have better coupons over others which help in the purchase costs. The Clover Amour's are well worth the extra money and worth the expense.
