I’m a mich fan and this was golden and funny. The truth is our coaches suck. The plays Georgia ran we should of meaning, in a month they couldn’t figure out how to attack TCU while Georgia had a week to prepare. Honestly, I went back and watched TCU and Texas and saw that TCU couldn’t stop outside counter and read options. How do we know that’s true, because Michigan points came off counters, qb reads. 2 o coordinators. No... also, we never spied Duggan, we blitzed. Coaching staffs make a difference.

My HONEST advice for every fan of every team that really thinks THEIR team was the TRUE National Champion for this past season is this (and this includes Alabama fans): Do what Central Florida did in 2017. Throw a Pity-Party-Parade in your home town and put up a banner or a sign (that's STILL in their stadium TO THIS DAY) and just DECLARE yourselves to be the National Champions for this season. A a UM fan, I can honestly say we would not have beaten Georgia. A lot of fans forget that matchups have a lot to do with it. Michigan has built their team to beat Ohio St as they currently are constructed, where as they don't match up with Georgia. Ohio St is better equipped to give Georgia a run, as we saw, than Michigan. You can't make a linear connection that Georgia only beat OSU by 1, while Michigan beat them by 22 so therefore Michigan would beat Georgia. Sports do not work that way. That being said. 45-23!!! Based on how fast the salary cap has gone up, is 20 mil today really going to be that much in 5 years from now? I think the caps going to rise by 30 mil this offseason, thats like a 15% hike. Now some of that is rollover from the down covid year, but I dont think its unreasonable to expect the teams total cap to go up to 300mil by 2026, so how bad is 20mil a year looking at that point? Also I agree that Smith aint worth 20 mil, but if you are 1 or 2 guys from winning it all you pay the winners tax.

I'm a Michigan fan and am glad we did not have to face that Georgia team. Yes, we should have easily beat TCU, but that Georgia team would have smoked Michigan. Also. Facing OSU a second time does NOT guarantee a win. Actually, we would likely lose to that same OSU team in the national title which would suck even worse. We were not prepared, we were overconfident and we got our ass kicked by TCU. For those reasons, we did not deserve to be in the national championship. It was better that way
