Really enjoy your videos. I was wondering if you'd do one for the 2d orange cypher wmk? I cannot get my head round the 2 Die types, as any catalogues show a very indistinct drawing of the difference. The die diffrences aren't as obvious as the Downey head ones and I really have trouble with the 2d. Shades are another issue! Thanks.

I've have this stamp in my collection for decades. It used, but in fairly goodbye condition. It has the watermark on it. I believe it's the first one you showed. I'm gonna double check to make sure.

There are millions of these stamps out there - just make sure you have the correct version of the watermark otherwise it's not worth much

Be sure,that it is not a type 1. watermark offset, these are quite common

Type 1. watermark offsets are quite common,check this and then you can be certain it is a type 11.

Of course it is possible to get cheaper copies as stamps rarely sell for full catalogue value, in my experience you can get stamps at approx half car value when acquired by auction…

I thought i had one. The letters were script, not block. But its the type one under the other with script letters, not the miltiple all over the back. Who knew, there were 2 typs for the script letters. Take care.

has any one seen the wikapedia list of british stamps,QE2nd may 1970 states 6x4d london sun-life insurance of canada .i can find no such stamp,not even any image of one,wikapedia states they are rare and 4 are known.

OK but remember the Gibbons price is what Gibbons will sell it for (assuming stock available). Elsewhere about 10% of Gibbons is nearer the truth. Even less for QV surface printed issues. The Gibbons catalogue is a very useful reference source, but that's all.

Unless you have the rare variety, you probably have the common variety. You need to speak to your local stamp society to get them to check them out
