Moved to Ecuador right before the quarantine. So glad that all the cows here are grass fed and pasture raised chicken/eggs is so affordable. Honestly not looking forward to going back to Canada and paying 5 times the price for what I'm paying here.

I lived in Ecuador 2013-2015. Every feed store I went into had gallon jugs of DDT on the shelf and injectable rBGH. Poor family farms selling in local mercados probably don't use those things due to the expense but plenty available for anyone with $ to buy it.

At this moment, I eat beef steak mince with 15% heart, 15% liver. Costs me about £45 for 4kg. 400g bags with added suet dripping, half an organic onion. All regeneratively raised on organic pasture. I find this very affordable. I’ll also sometimes eat a few teaspoons of honey afterwards, or some blueberries. I know it may be different in America, but here it’s costing me about £250-£300 per month. I am very aware of these pesticides, but this podcast made me paranoid as fuck lol.

We’re barely making it money wise right now. GF beef is expensive. And we have not invested in a cow with a farmer that lots of folks are doing. We do the best we can at Safeway/Frys and our local Carniceria I totally get the organic points. We do get liver at a butcher shop since it’s not pricey at all

Grass fed grass finished is pricier, but I just eat less, and fast more, and as a result, I save time in cooking, prepping, and washing dishes, plus I have zero inflammation, sleep less (not sure why, but just as deep and wake up well rested, I don't even take naps anymore). I rarely have cravings for sugar, actually, I think when I eat a cookie or something of the sort, it's just because I think it's going to taste as good as when I was addicted, but it always falls short of that amazing feeling when I was a kid. After going carnivore I've also noticed a relative peace in my life, like I'm spiritually nsync, and I even forget when I'm hungry, I've actually fasted for 24 hours without trying. gfgf is healing in my experience, so I will continue to spend the money.

@@nancygatto4963 I'm in Oregon, so I buy from the Hawley Ranch south of Eugene. Been around since 1852. But if you look around your area for grass fed, grass finished ranchers you can reach out, they know the butchers who will process it to your desire and it should be somewhere between $3.5-$7 all in. You'll get the complete beef, half beef or 1/4 beef packaged into individual servings.

@duststorm7287

You really dont understand. Grass fed cattle weigh much less. Therefore they meat yeild is minimal compared to grain fed. And its not 4 times as expensive. Not even if you eat expensive cuts. Organ meats for example are basically the same price on a lot of organ cuts. In reality if you buy omega 3 fish and eggs you can mitigate omega 6 meats. Just stay away from chicken as its really bad for you unless its truly free range that eats only protien. Many chickens are called free range that are fed corn. A truly free range properly nourished chicken will cost about 20 bucks for a scrawney bird. You could do like me... Hunt your own wild turkeys. Very healthy. Very cheap if you can do it.

You will find out soon enough if you get constipated! Maybe try another meat supplier? I'm in Germany and the quality of ground beef varies quite a bit. Aldi is the worst in my opinion. The butcher is a better option.

Just get what you can afford. I buy whole chuck rolls from the supermarket. It may not be 100 ideal, but it’s economical, and it’s high protein and fat. Dollar to dollar, there isn’t denser nutrition than ruminant meat anyways. If I spent the same $100 on literally anything else, I’d become malnutritioned.

@@T-aka-T Ruminant animals eliminate toxicity better than humans do due to having a more elaborate digestive system. I can't say the percentage of what they remove but the fat from a ruminant animal will be far "cleaner" than human fat as we tend to store everything due to poor ability to remove it during digestion. I do seem to feel a difference in the "better quality" meats, although not sure how much is due to toxic load vs the ratio of omega6 to 3 being somewhat skewed based on the animals diet, and/or the psychological part of me placebo thinking I am eating cleaner. Realistically chemicals are throughout our air & water supplies across the world so nothing is truly "organic". Being carnivore based is going to be drastically healthier then carb & plant or junk food based & health will improve in leaps & bounds for most people. The organic/grass-fed ect may make some difference but ultimately is going to be a much smaller factor in overall improved health. We all just have to do what we can with what we have!
