Thank you, it takes some of the extreme pressure off of the budget, especially now when conventional meat is now as expensive as grass fed was a few months ago 😖

My only concern is glyphosate residue in meat. If Monsanto didn’t take over the planet I’d have zero issue with grain fed beef. When having this discussion most people mention nutritional differences but no one talks about GMO corn and soy and glyphosate residue.

@@NutritionwithJudy when I said “no one” I wasn’t being literal, I was trying to make the point that it’s not really a discussion in the carnivore/youtube sphere when speaking of the differences between grass fed and grain fed ♥️

It’s not just the Glyphosate in GMO grains, soy and corn… it’s the antibiotics and growth hormones mixed into the feed.

Sure but alot of cows can be grass fed for most of their lives butspend their last 2 months on grain, and that makes them as good as grain fed. This is actually quite common, it's what they are finished on in the last 2 months that makes the difference.

@@wraymcclamma4707 right. I live in the UK, things maybe different where you live, I was informed by a farmer they sometimes finish them with grain in winter times as it gets too cold for them to be outside grazing.

I personally get concerned about the accumulation pesticides and antibiotics and GMO’s. I would also love to see some more data on the omega-3 thing. Rob is a little vague about it would take 8 pounds of grass fed beef to give you the same amount of omega-3‘s that you can get in 5 ounces of salmon. I personally eat a ton of extra fat with my meat in the form of trimmings or suet. I don’t know how much fat was marbled into the piece of meat that Rob is referring to for his comparison. This is a great conversation to keep having so thank you!

He is very honest. Only people getting free meat sent to their door should worry about grass finished dogma. I buy ground beef in large quantities when it hits $1 or $2 per pound at grocery stores. Wild Caught Alaskan Canned Salmon is $2.49 at Aldi. Sardines are less than a dollar per tin. Eggs are about 10 cents each. A variety of animal foods is easy on a small budget.

Mercury builds up in fish that are big eating other fish. Sardines in tins are finger size. Salmon eat shrimp to be pink. They get arm length. Tuna can be gigantic. Eating more Sardines size fish weekly than you will ever eat.

I'll admit that some of the Dogma going on in the carnivore arenas is surprisingly militant, hostile and exclusionary. But that's how humans still tend to get, they forget we are all together here to walk each other Home. 💗

@@NutritionwithJudy It would be interesting to know about how other mammals deal with liver. I think the most dominant wolf or lion gets first dibs on a carcass, but do they take the whole liver for themselves? Do they all get some of it? If a solitary animal makes a kill does it favor the liver or will it eat just part of it?

@@spaceghost8995 I have a feral cat who, this time of year, catches a rabbit, gopher, rat, mouse, and or bird each day. He does not always consume the liver, only once in a great while. He prefers to start at the head and work his way down and around.

If corn or grain is better shouldn't hunter put out feeders full of corn and grains to feed the deer a coumonths before hunting so the meat tastes better and make it healthier? If prices for grass fed and grain fed were the same wouldn't all the grain feeders go out of business. Who prefers gmo corn and chemically enhanced grains in their meat?

Is it truly grain fed beef though, or labeled from US and actual processed "pink slime" as ranchers call it? This isn't apples to apples so make sure your cheap beef or tastier options are actually quality parts of the animals versus weird crap.

Both Judy and Robb lose your credibility by only focusing on Omega-3 fats. The issue is Glyphosate and other pesticides. Way to miss the most important factor. Best selling sometimes means you have convinced the huge number of dummies out there to buy your book.
