A couple non spoiler information for you guys, that you asked in the end there. First, the vampires here still have their human eye colors, Damon's eyes are just insanely bright like that naturally LOL. The fog and crow were just pilot things, when you shoot a pilot to greenlight a show, you add things you think will work, but sometimes they greenlight it and ask to take away a few things. It was supposed to be significant, but it isn't, doesn't exist anymore after the pilot. And the rest you will figure out with time, but Damon did say that Elena is a copy of Katherine. In the picture you can see they look exactly alike (i mean it is the same actress for the picture of Katherine). So you will understand the significance later lol

I can't wait for you guys to see more of Damon, he's a menace but he's honestly the goat and he grows on you later on in the seasons. And yeah, vampires have to be invited into the house. Forgot how cringe the first episode is but it gets really good. Hope it does well on your channel! Fun facts: The show is based on a book series by L. J. Smith. It premiered in 2009 and ended in 2017 after 8 seasons. It has had two spin-off shows: The Originals and Legacies (haven't watched Legacies but The Originals is SO good). Creators Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec were also writers/producers for the most of the Scream movies. Ashlee Simpson was the CW network's first choice for Elena, while Zach Roerig (Matt), Michael Trevino (Tyler) and Paul Wesley (Stefan) originally auditioned for Damon. Nina Dobrev (Elena) and Paul Wesley have both admitted that they didn't like each other for the first few months of filming. They later became good friends (and still are). The pilot was filmed in Vancouver but the rest of the series was filmed in Covington, Georgia. Also, you don't seem to have noticed Katherine looks IDENTICAL to Elena (it's the same actress), hence Damon's "dead ringer for Katherine" comment. Nina Dobrev is Bulgarian/Canadian and her full name is Nina Kamenova Dobreva. Like all pilots, this was basically character set up and it takes a few eps to really ramp up but well worth the wait. Damon was always my favourite character. Everyone is well cast and does a great job with their own characters.

I'm stoked for this! Season 2 is really when it starts to get good, for me. If you make it deep into this show, you'll have to watch the spin-off show too, called The Originals. The backdoor pilot is towards the end of season 4 of TVD, so after that would be a good time to start The Originals. It's absolutely awesome too.

Vampires are portrayed with slightly different powers depending on the show/movie but generally vampires have super speed, strength, smell, hearing and sight and will die or burn in sunlight and have to be invited in to any home if it is occupied by a living person, they can go in vacant houses, etc and the older the vampire the stronger the powers

I was saving up this series reactions for when I needed it and even just 10 minutes in you guys are making my day so much better! I used to be a fan of the books (up to a certain point) then followed the show as it came out (up to a certain season). It's hard to describe the distinct vibe of this show and how the lore, relationship drama, campy moments, cast etc all make such an enjoyable show. It feels like one of those series that you just have to watch or at least start. There's too many perfect quotables or observations from each of you three to fill up the comments with lol just so glad that you've been watching this show. I remember when this show started getting popular, that comparisons to Twilight were made in reference to who's team you were on.... Like in Twilight are you "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob". But in The Vampire Diaries, you had "Team Stefan" or "Team Damon". I will forever be TEAM DAMON ! 😍

Blake, Corey, and Igli please continue to bring the Vampire ( supernatural ) content to the channel by reacting to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" ( 1997 - 2003 ), it's spin-off "Angel" ( 1999 - 2004 ), "Interview With the Vampire" the film ( 1994 ) & the series ( 2022 - 2024 ), the entire "Twilight" Saga ( 5 films - 2008 - 2015 ), and of course the two TVD spin-off's when it is time.

My girlfriend ( now wife ) was watching it all the time when it first went on Netflix and I have to say this is the most fun I've had watching it lol It's not a bad show by any means and other are some really interesting directions with some characters later on.
