I’m pretty sure you’re done with the series on Patreon, so that’s why I don’t feel it’s spoiling to say that you’re completely right about Bonnie. They - Plec specifically- really wanted to kill Bonnie off for good here, like we’d never see her again. It was only when Ian Somerhalder (Damon) caused enough of a fuss to threaten to walk off the show if they didn’t change the ending that they relented, otherwise Bonnie’s soul would have disintegrated with the other side there. Which is doubly insane when you realise everything that comes out of this wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t rewrite that ending to have Damon with her too. 😂
