Jeremy, Silas isn't Stefan's shadow-self. Stefan is Silas's shadow-self, aka doppelganger. Don't forget, Silas is the first immortal, so nature had to find a balance, therefore, it created a version of Silas that could die, aka a doppelganger, which now was reveiled to be Stefan. I love what you say about Stefan cutting his losses and being better than all that because YOU'RE RIGHT. I love Delena but I also love Stefan so much as a character and I want him to be happy and honestly he is so much better than being involved with the drama of Delena. Why should he fight so hard and want to be with someone who has hurt him and chose his brother over him?? I want better for him and I think we do find it. Plus I personally think Stefan and Elena just work so much better as friends. I love their relationship going forward so much. I think the show in general is a lot better when you can watch it all together. having to wait week to week, year by year, it started to feel a bit dragging imo in season 4 and season 5. But maybe you will like them a lot more at a quicker pace. Honestly, the show is good til the end imo, despite some storylines that i dont love. seaso 7 i didnt love the first time around but everytime i rewatch it i love it more and i appreciate the sL they did that season. I think you will enjoy it. And season 8 had some strong episodes too, but I think at that point people were kinda over the show lol. Still good tho!

Hiccup cure tip (only thing that actually works for me): drink water through a paper towel as much as you can. Everyone I ever saw at work who had it I would ask them to do that cause it's way easier to pull of in public then bending over plugging your nose and ears and chugging water.
