Guarded by Kevin Daniel was played on The Vampire Diaries, season three, episode 15 when Elena goes to Bonnie's after Rebekah tells her Damon and Stefan turned Abby into a vampire to save her. Bonnie is sitting with her mum who's in transition, while Caroline and Elena talk at the front door. Caroline tells Elena that Bonnie doesn't want to see her because everything is always done to save her, while Bonnie gets hurt. Stefan and Damon talk about Abby being turned, the last time Stefan drank human blood and talk about Elena. Meanwhile, Elena returns home to find a letter from Elijah on her bed. He writes about his regret and her compassion.
