Yeah. This episode is from Klaus' perspective and includes this happening to the TVD trio and the beginning and the end. Where as the official first episode of the originals is mostly told from Elijah's perspective and fills in the TVD stuff with new footage.

a lot of people said that if you don’t watch them at the same time storylines get confusing but... they really don’t. I watched all of TVD then watched the originals and it was completely fine! edit: there were times when the storylines crossed over and of course i wasn’t sure of the exact moment that that happened but it didn’t affect my understanding of either show, and since you’re reacting any questions like that can easily get answered for you here!

The pilot episode for The Originals, I've been waiting for this one, let's go! I think episode 1 is basically the same. "Elena is off her rocker" that made me laugh so hard! Yes, the cemetery is an important place in the show. I love Marcel, he's ruthless and unpredictable, such a good character! Elijah is the best! I honestly feel like you're gona love every character in this show! Yes, they start the show with this sh*t and it's one hell of a ride! The "I will stand by you" from Elijah to Klaus brought tears to my eyes instantly! (when you know you know) Oh you're gonna love that friend/enemy relationship between Klaus and Marcel! It's epic! That Camille/Klaus scene is everything! "Ever king needs an heir" what a memorable line!

noooo katherine did not do it to herself ? klaus did it, as much as i love klaus he destroyed katherine, katherine had her baby ripped out of her hands and then was banished to england , then she was with 2 brothers who she thought liked her and would protect her but ended up just wanting to kill her, she ran away, and then in result her entire family was slaughtered, then for 500 years she learnt to live in secret and learnt to look after herself, as she should. i don’t blame her for the way she turned out, if you went through what she did you would do, and yet despite it all she never turned it off .
