I created this video to show that the Vancouver Canucks are very underrated going into this 2024-2025 season. There are many people doubting that the Canucks will be as good as last season, but I believe that the Vancouver Canucks will still be one of the top teams in the Western Conference and the NHL. The Canucks were the best team in the Pacific division even before the trade deadline moves. They were able to replace Lindholm and Zadorov with solid players who allow them to fit under the salary cap. I predict that the Vancouver Canucks will surprise everyone this upcoming season.

I think the roles are reversed next year - Edmonton finishes first and Vancouver second, but the Canucks pull off an upset in the playoffs.

Aside from the injuries, the downfall last season is 0 winger depth. Hopefully now with debrusk, henien, sprong and breakout hoglander can make a huge difference

As a Vancouverite I disagree. I think Vancouver had everything go right for them this past year, with way higher than usual performances from practically all their forwards, and despite no peripherals, Hughes scored huge points. I expect regression next year, most likely making the playoffs as 3rd or wildcard and losing in 1st or 2nd round. I can’t see Miller performing as well this year as he did last, and with Demkos heath in question, I don’t imagine they can lean on goaltending as much as they did either. I also think depth defencemen like Zadorov were huge for them in the playoffs, and with him off to Boston, I don’t see guys like Myers stepping up to fill that void.

Garland wont be on PP1. Hes a half wall guy and they need a solid bumper player on pp1. And if they plan on keeping brock down low (they should) then they need a left shot in the bumper. My guess is the spot eventually goes to either Debrusk or Joshua.

im sorry but you just can't have Sprong on the second line with Pettersson. That's just not right. Heinen could try it, I mean he played on the same line as DeBrusk in Boston with Frederic as the center. Obvs Pettersson is miles ahead of Frederic as a center and that could be a way of keeping Garland with Joshua. Garland does play well with Petey though and I don't dislike the idea of Joshua-Suter-Heinen as a third line, could be a tough line to play against. I worry about Hoglander on the top line, I don't know if he is good enough defensively to keep against other top lines. I still think we are missing another top six forward

Most overrated team last year The Pacific was a joke last year and the Central wasn’t much better Nashville had they more scoring deserved to beat the Canucks in round 1 4 of the bottom 10 teams were from the Pacific San Jose Anaheim Calgary Seattle All except Calgary should be better this year Edmonton had an horrendous start, not to be repeated this year Vegas was hurt all year limping into playoffs Vancouver may be on par with LA fighting for 3rd place in division and a wildcard spot Canucks have 4 top 6 forwards 2 top 4 D Their strength is bottom 6 forwards and goaltending IF Demko can stay healthy Which should be tough to do with this collection of the tallest dumbest pylons on D in Myers, Desharnais, Forbort and Soucy Good luck

You're missing the fact that even Tyler Myers played much better under the Tocchet coaching staff than he ever had in his tenure with Vancouver so theres still a chance they can get those tall dumb pylons playing a legitimately great year but we're not really ready to talk about that clearly. We also have enough forward depth in the org right now that we could outperform Edmonton's bottom 6 and make trades to bring in better D so I wouldn't count us out of top spot in the Pacific just yet, my guy.
