A question I would have is, unless you're jogging or running, do you really need the retention strap at all?
@KenLovell7512 күн бұрын
@@scottgood7888 great question. Yes you do. Especially if you carry appendix. When you sit down or bend over, depending on your body composition, your thigh/hip crease area will push on that barrel and push the pistol up out of the holster as there’s no passive retention aspect of this like a hard holster list often has.

If they flipped the thumb break so you could do it with the back of the thumb as the hand comes up and the thumb could fold it back out of the way as you go for your master grip. These retention straps are what is going to get caught in your trigger right before your gun "negligently discharges"

Great video, how long had you had it when you made the video? I’m curious about durability. I carry either a Glock 19 or a Springfield Hellcat, both of which would fit - the Hellcat is almost exactly the same size as the P365, and the ads show a G19 rubber gun in them.
@KenLovell755 ай бұрын
@@DennyBob521 I’ve had it now closing in a year and wear it every day, but take it on and off a lot (2-3 times a day) as I work from home. It broke a little stitching 6-months in, between the holster and the mag pouch behind the pistol grip, but they replaced it. I’m still using the old one though and it hasn’t gotten worse. No impact to the actual holster so the weapon is still secure.

Can the gun be pulled out with a little more force? Being a magnet I assume if you pull hard enough that magnet would break free.
@KenLovell753 ай бұрын
@@joshuafontanilla3769 that’s a great question. While I’ve never done handstand push-ups with it, I have hiked and ran with zero issue. The weapon is very snug and not dependent on the thumb break strap. I’ve never low crawled or grappled with it either, but retention concerns there wouldn’t be any different than a hard holster’s passive retention systems too.
@Moses19736 ай бұрын
Can this be used for a cross draw holster? Roughly what would be the angle of the pistol? Thanks
@KenLovell756 ай бұрын
You can definitely rotate this around your waste so that your weapon is wherever you want it, but the pistol is always pretty straight vertical. There’s no angle to it really.

Other review videos have claimed that you can still pull the trigger through the fabric while the gun is in the holster. If that is true, it’s a no go for me bro. But I did enjoy your video. God bless.
@KenLovell753 ай бұрын
Thanks for the ask... good Lord, it'd take a significant impact from just the right sized object with significant force to "push" the trigger while the weapon is in the holster. And man, if that object misses hitting just right to possibly completely push the trigger back, then it's going to kill you cause the force needed to hit the trigger, is penetrating you. ha. BUT, that's just the material of the holster we're talking about, let alone the added layer of your pants. No way. Someone would have to do a lot to convince me that's possible. But also, if your weapon has a safety, it's a non-issue completely. In my case, I am the safety, but I don't carry with a round in the chamber. I'm not walking the mean streets of some war-torn country here... I'm wanting a weapon to defend myself, and others, should I need to. I train to get the gun out smooth, quick, and chamber a round so I'm fine. Good question though. I'll have to see someone's review as to how that's possible. The holster is thick material.
@blaydekanton90773 ай бұрын
Have you compared it to the strap-tac belly band holster system? You probably sacrifice some printing.. Maybe comfort (not sure), but gain a kydex retention. Just curious. I tried it but ended up modifying it to the point of it hardly resembling it's original form in order to sink it into a deeper concealment

for that price I would rather just spend more and get a crossbreed, blackarch, Vedder etc holster with a comfort concealment belt. Regardless of their warranty a real holster just seems better. I have tried many belly band holsters and for me not any of them compare to the setup I have.
