It is a comfortable holster however I found a couple of issues. One, the retention strap needs to be a thumb break on the inside of the firearm for a more natural draw, the other is the need for a retention strap to keep the magazines in place.

Just handling one made me appreciate the old Uncle Mike's nylon IWB holster I wear daily. Solidly constructed from heavy nylon with a thumb strap that is adjustable/removeable. It also includes a pouch that holds two extra magazines for my single stack Slick Willy era .40S&W or one for a 9 Minimal I no longer carry. I've owned one belly band holster, and it had the same problem, due to lightweight materials. It promptly collapsed upon drawing making rebolstering very difficult at best. So, until VNSH can produce a holster that I feel I can trust not to collapse upon the draw, I'll keep my credit card in my wallet.

Lastly would you say that this particular belly band type holster protects/preserves the finish on your handguns ? That said, I have a sewing machine and I know how to use it. honest question then because i am of the same mind set. what holster would you use?@@billk2379
@RidersRange5 ай бұрын
@billk2379, law enforcement officers have a mission to go after the bad guys, so they are justified in searching and identifying with a light mounted on their weapons. Non-sworn citizens don't have the same mission and can be charged criminally if they point a gun with a mounted light at someone just to identify that person. Mount a light on your concealed carry gun or home defense gun if you want, but I highly recommend that you do your searching with a hand-held light.
@billk23795 ай бұрын
@@RidersRange - Agree but that's a totally different scenario. I am not advocating pointing a weapon mounted light at someone just to ID them - that would likely constitute aggravated assault. What I am saying is that IF you need to draw your weapon in self defense (the only time you ever should), it would be better to have enough light to identify anyone behind your attacker.

I just came across this video because I was looking into holsters. You made mention "why don't they just make the sale price the regular price". There's something called the JC Penny effect. JC Penny actually had a CEO that believed this and did just that. The problem they found was that folks stopped shopping in their stores because they didn't run sales because everything was a sale pricing. Folks would go to Walmart and see something on sale and then go to JC and see the prices very close together but then would ask what the sale price on those items would be. The problem has to do with the human psyche and the manipulation over decades with "sales". You could mark something UP $2 but if you put the word "sale" next to it then they are more likely to buy that item because they "believe" they are getting a deal. JC Penny about went bankrupt and then marked all their prices back up just so they could run sales again and they recovered. Your average person is too ignorant, lazy, or brainwashed to fully understand how things work and instead prefer to be manipulated because that means it's less work for them in the end. That is why things are on "perpetual sale".

You have said it. I bought an office chair two days ago. It was on sale for $200 off. Sounds fantastic right? $200 off!!! Wow!. I had been looking at chairs for the last several months, and I'm 99% certain that the regular price is the same that I paid. It actually IS a great chair for the price I paid, and I'm very happy so far. If the leather holds up, then I would be thrilled at the price point I paid. Hard to fool the man that does his homework.....and I have little doubt that you do your homework as well. Great comment you posted. KUDOS

@@davidgraham2673 I do make mistakes though but I've known about this for ten years and I have worked in retail in my lifetime. I've done Service/repair for most of my adult life but did restaurants for 10 as well since I was a teen. I never did understand the concept till I had heard about this. I thought it was brilliant but the human psyche doesn't acknowledge brilliance easily and prefers to believe they don't need to think. I know many sales men who lie to get the sale and it's not because lying is necessarily what they want to do but rather a tool in their arsenal because most folks in charge are not interested in honestly but rather having their egos stroked. Its why you have major corps with seeming bad leadership when it's more about them believing their time is valuable rather than their workers' efficiency.

It will start to come undone and then because it’s China-made it WILL (and did on us) come apart quickly. Machine stitching must be done correctly for critical gear to stay tightly together AND also glued seams. That’s why we thumb down it. Best is US MADE. Buy hand saddle stitched if you can cough up a few more bucks. Also, that this holster doesn’t allow cant angle adjustment, not good. been using this holster and a few other IWB holsters for the past 3 months here in the peoples republic of NJ and this is my favorite to carry my sig 365xl specter ..only real gripe i have is i wish there were 2 retention straps for the mags but that isn't a deal breaker for me

Vnsh vs 3 speed. Thoughts, comments anyone?

I haven't heard of 3-Speed, so I checked the website. Looks interesting. I like the custom fit, not just for the wearer, but also custom for the gun. Those are advantages over the VNSH.

Figure anyone buying a holster at that price point can scan a QR code. However, I probably don't want it if I need to watch a video to figure it out.

Would you recommend any American made belly bands ?
@RidersRangeАй бұрын
No. I'm not saying that belly-bands aren't an option for deep concealment, but I haven't found any that allow quick, efficient access to a pistol.

Check the video at the 5:20 mark and you'll see my attempt to fit my P320 in the VNSH holster. It will work, but barely.

I would say what do you wear? In this dudes opionion if yr not rocking a bunch of sweats or athletic shorts I would say a regular ITW holster molded to yr weapon is better. Also get one that's optic cut, with potentially a light option. I like the idea of the vnsh. But I personally don't dress in a way that it would be necessary. Something to take into account. Hope this helps homie. Welcome to the kool kids club!

I don't have a cc holster bc I don't cc EVER. In fact I don't even own a firearm. Never would. But if I did I'd grab something like the tiny bersa holster that perfectly houses one of my Thunder 380's if I were to ever have one. It doesn't hold anything other than the tool. I know this bc I've seen it a lot. I don't have one nor would I bc I don't even have a firearm nor would I. It's just a small piece of leather but does loosen from the belt clip after a couple yrs and I'm sure that time would be even shorter for those who cc daily. I wouldn't know. I have nothing to cc.

If it does not fit, don't claim it fits....that glock had the trigger assembly exposed.....give good info or mone at all!!!
@RidersRange8 ай бұрын
You might want to watch it again. At 4:15 in the video I tried the Glock 19 with an optic. When I first inserted the gun the rear of the trigger guard area behind the trigger was exposed, but certainly not the "trigger assembly". I even commented on that. Then I pushed the gun farther into the holster to where there was no exposure of the trigger guard area behind the trigger. But at no time was the trigger exposed when the Glock was seated in the holster. I also showed two other smaller Glock pistols and neither had the trigger exposed. When the Sig P320 M17 with an optic was inserted, the trigger itself was exposed, and I mentioned that. So, I believe I did provide "good info". But thanks for watching.

I would never buy this junk holster. If you have to give one away, if you buy one, it says it all. Not one respected gun person has a vanish holster.
@scottgood7888Ай бұрын
Then what kind of holster would you recommend for conceal carry that isn't terribly uncomfortable? I absolutely hate inside the waist carry and open carry is not an option. This belly band option seemed like a possible as alternative.
@frankm2385Ай бұрын
@scottgood7888 It depends on how you're going to use it. I guess if you're going to use it around the house or in your bath robe, then it should be alright. If you plan on carrying it to the store or every day, then I recommend something with retention. You may want to get pants with a larger waist to accommodate an IWB. OWB is also an option depending on your clothing.
@scottgood7888Ай бұрын
@frankm2385 I'll never buy pants to big just to accommodate carrying a weapon. Seems ridiculous to me. What happens when you don't carry that day? You can't wear your clothes? 😆 Absurd
@scottgood7888Ай бұрын
@@frankm2385 Something with retention? Doesn't the VNSH have that retention strap?
@frankm2385Ай бұрын
@scottgood7888 That retention strap isn't much of a retention strap. In fact, in my opinion, it's more of a "False sense of security strap." There's a retention that keeps your fun from falling out and a retention that resists others from taking your gun. They don't call it Vanish for nothing. Lol
