The Vase

This tale was actually based on a true story of a vase owned by a friend of ours called Monte (the friend, not the vase) - ie the last part of the story is true - the legend of the vase has been added 😀 He actually had to give up the vase as he didn’t have space in his luggage to carry it back home when he left the country. We vowed to look after it for him. We still think of it as his vase. It now sits pride-of-place in our lounge on the mantelpiece awaiting his return.
