My point of all of this is, that the church from its origins and presently have used its money for charitable means and to sustain itself. As a tourist, I made sure to visit the Vatican while in Rome many years ago. Even though a Protestant, I felt drawn by the mystique of sacredness and the chance to draw closer to the divine. I was awed by the monumental architecture and overwhelmed by the incredible works of art / sculpture. I ended my day long visit with a fundamental change in how I viewed the Papacy. All that I saw made me realize how corrupt and secular the Papacy is and has been for centuries. My faith in God was undiminshed. But the respect and reverence I held for the place and Papal office ended with my visit to the Vatican. The Papacy does not serve God but only itself.

I visited Rome few years ago and I loved it. I was interested in visiting the Vatican City Cathedral but then it hit me whilst I waited in the long line of tourists: why am I going to pay €40 to walk around a building? Adding to the millions of €40s collected yearly whilst the charity of the churches are reducing but their political and land-grabbing grows. I left the line for my own conscience. Now, back in Austria, the Evangelical Church sued me for not pay "Church Tax". I never went to a church or registered here as a local member. This made me highly disgusted. They are literally taxing people and when they cannot pay, they have the right to destroy people's life... And the state supports it. What bugs me is that the common person still refuses to say anything, they accept this unethical behaviour by the church. Trust me, damaged psyche is a terrible thing for us.😢

51 years old. I have $295,588.25 in my Fidelity retirement account. I cranked my contributions up to 35% with the help pf Norman Vitalii. Fidelity just holds my ETFs/stocks. I made that change earlier this year. I'm hoping to end the rat race by 60 but it's looking more like 63-ish. I want to have $1.5M and bring in about $60k in dividends each year.
