I am NOT a vegan right now, and that's mainly due to me living around family and having a majority of friends that are not vegan and growing up consuming a lot of animal products as most children do (and also me trying to figure out how to do so that's right for me). But I also have a few vegan friends and have been exposed to veganism videos, articles, posts, and you name it explaining why they are vegan and the ethics that they display. I agree some vegans are definitely arrogant and/or oppressive towards people who aren't vegan, but I believe they have some good reasons why. All vegans aren't like that lol most of the time they don't bring up their ideals unless asked and they do so respectfully. I have been slowly cutting back on what I eat containing animal products and meats, but I hope to fully go vegan some day to experience what it's like and to inspire others such as my family. While it would be great if everyone on Earth would become a vegan in my opinion, but most likely that would never happen even if meat was banned by the government, or was looked down upon, etc, as people would kill animals themselves or get them by other means. Animals have indeed brought humanity to this point in time by providing us food, yes, but it comes at a great cost in today's society. As you know, they can feel pain as much as humans can. I have no trouble saying that most if not every meat production factory, farm, slaughterhouse, whatever you want to call it, brings a painful and often times slow death to each animal. I believe the system of killing you talked about was halal? With the slicing method? If you look up videos of that online you can obviously see that the animal did go through pain at some point, and that system makes them bleed out up to minutes at a time. The problem is that a lot of slaughterhouses don't even bother with this method, and have more malicious means of killing animals, and each one can be different. You think they care? They get paid to do this by the company, or a farmer who wants a bite to eat. This is their job and sometimes lifestyle. You mentioned that not all of them enjoy this process, but I would be worried if ANYONE did, and while that is the case, I believe it is still wrong, unless they live out in the middle of nowhere or don't have the resources for something else, but a lot of the time this is not the case. There are documentaries out there displaying cruel and violet behavior towards animals. I could not even describe what I've seen as it's horrific, and I could only imagine what happens off camera. Even if it was completely painless, I believe it is inhumane to use animals as food because most people are fortunate enough to live in a place where you don't need to eat animal products to survive. Especially now a days with different vegan companies offering these options, and even meatless burgers, chicken, etc. While they're not 100% the same in taste or even texture of let's say a meat patty, I've tried one from Beyond Meat and it was enjoyable. I also like almond milk a lot and hardly ever drink regular milk now a days. Yes it is easy to buy a hamburger from a fast food spot on the way home, or cook up some crispy bacon and eggs in the morning along with a glass of milk, but it's been proven that animal products are not always healthy for you as they contain cholesterol, sometimes high fat, and whatever else that's in it organic or not. I believe a lot of overweight people are that way because these things are a staple in their diet. If they went fully vegan 95% of the time they would lose a significant amount of weight and will be able to keep it off. It is also easy however to be underweight or even overweight as a vegan, and that's why if you do go vegan you should properly plan out your meals and get the right nutrition and calories for your body each day. But there are numerous recipes, guides, youtube channels, and a vast amount of different information out there to help you if you decide to go vegan. I'm sure if you decide to go vegan there would be many options that you would find reasonable and will be able to enjoy eating. It's doesn't have to be a "I'm only eating food I don't like to save animals" or any of that. You can also considerably live longer on average as a vegan compared to a daily meat consumer if you sustain it well enough. While this isn't important to everyone, it still can be a benefit. You can also support your muscle growth and gains in the gym as I mentioned if you eat enough nutrient dense foods and are able to maintain your lifestyle. Yes it is easier to be a bodybuilder on a omnivore diet than it is to be a vegan for the most part, but it is not impossible to have that sort of life if you want to, and this is not the majority of vegans to begin with. Most do it for health and moral reasons, and not to show off massive muscles, but you still can if you want to while being vegan, but you have to be smarter about what you eat and how often. Again, I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian and there are definitely more qualified people to tell you this and more but I believe in today's day and age that eating meat is not necessary at all and that veganism should be more supported than massive land spaced factories from destroyed forests, that can pollute the air, and bring upon pain on most animals. You can even 3D print food now, and scientists I believe have already created meat using this type of structure. This is my longest comment and I didn't mean to write multiple paragraphs but this is a subject that most people get riled up by and I wanted to drop my opinion on the matter. And also many people aren't even informed about this topic, and believe the way they eat is entirely "normal" but others reject that way of eating as cynical. If you want to look into this more then check out different videos or ask different people questions like I did about this. No offense to anyone and Jared I believe the point of this video was to not try and hurt someone for eating meat or along those lines? I agree on this, but they should also be informed of the truth of eating meat and also being a vegan as much as possible.

Trent Steel Thank you! It’s upsetting to see people bullying all meat eaters and people within the industry.
