I absolutely love my Upland Gun/RFM. I’ve hunted across the country with it, and it’s a joy to hunt with!

As a fellow Minnesotan who's a upland bird hunter and love nice guns this is really cool to see. Great video

I'm currently running a 28 Venus from UGC/RFM. From fitting with Del to receiving through FFL and finally putting it to use in the North Woods couldn't be happier with it. Jerry and Nick will take care of you!

I have a .410 Venus and absolutely love it. It's become my favorite shotgun (sorry Beretta, Browning and B. Rizzini) and puts a smile on my face every time I pull the trigger. Nick and the folks at Upland Gun Company/RFM are simply the best!
@Patrick_B687-32 жыл бұрын
This is very encouraging. Don’t be sorry. I’m itching for a 28 bore, but don’t want any of those brands for a SxS, and I’m a big Beretta & Rizzini fanboy.

I own a custom SKB done by the same manufacturer, a 20 gauge with grade 2 stock and some features but mostly a game gun, my first with a fitted stock. These thing absolutely shoot the lights out!

I've come over all nostalgic ..... Those are fine looking guns and must be a real pleasure to both own and use. Reminds me of my youth and my first "proper" gun - a s/s 20 bore - still got it today, some 40 years later. Thanks for sharing !

'Wouldn't it be really great if videos like this bring a renaissance of the side by side format. If they are fitted properly, they shoot really nicely, with so much style and elegance.

I have a Zeus in 24 Ga and it is perfect in the Woodcock coverts. The 24 packs a powerful punch that will penetrate debris and still kill the bird.

Brilliant show, glad you’re loving a side x side, Upland bird shooting is big in America, we love driven birds here, rough shooting is our comparable sport which we love, keep up the good work 👍🏼

Looks a lot like what Elderkins were importing from Spain in the mid 1980's and renaming. One sure thing though, they didn't cost two months wages....

What's the difference between RFM and FAIR? Their guns look absolutely identical - it looks to me like what Upland is doing is just placing custom orders at FAIR. Is RFM buying frames from FAIR and finishing them to a higher standard?

Well done 👍

That skeletonised top lever and the shape of the action is something I've seen on other companies guns. I suppose these guys spec up an existing product for customers?
@TheBurg2292 жыл бұрын
That would be a perfect quail gun. Shame it isn’t actually made in America. Not enough shotguns are. It’s really just Kolar and Connecticut Gun Co. now.
@gnarshread2 жыл бұрын
Why is everyone thinking that the prices are expensive? Yes shotgun prices in the states are high but if you shop around for a similar product these guys seem to offer a unique product for a darn competitive price.

It’s a great shame we only get two models from RFM here they seem very popular especially when your getting decent side by side for £1500 or there abouts they do a lot of interesting looking guns.

Johnny would you consider a upland gun company SK field over under as a contender for an all around shotgun? I can’t find a browning field citori anywhere just sporting models and am not a beretta fan….. longthorne and CSMC money continues to elude me

Upland should build these in the USA
@r.parker19332 жыл бұрын
That would be so great, but we don't really have the "classic double manufacturing infrastructure" that they'd need. Connecticut Shotgun is about the only US builder of modern SxS's I known of.
@ragnarragnarsson31282 жыл бұрын
@@r.parker1933 you mean like skilled labor? That is another topic, but what I really miss are the hardware store grade doubles that anyone could buy for not a lot of money but were still made in America. Like the old stevens and savage doubles.

Why can’t big companies learn from the forend button being at the end rather than a latch where your hand sits? This would stop the heat from Satans own vindaloo from sealing my palm like a cheap steak?!
@pickin4you2 жыл бұрын
So if you’re super rich, you can afford a cheap one. I have never paid more than $1200 for a good over and under. I would never be able to afford one of those. So many gun makers as well as many other sports manufacturers are going to price themselves out of business, unless they are small enough to cater to the rich and famous and be happy with that.
@gnarshread2 жыл бұрын
Those prices are cheap for a shotgun you spec out yourself. But it all depends on your personal preference and what you want to accomplish with your shooting. And sometimes its nice to have something tailored to you.
@dwi29212 жыл бұрын
The Zuse model runs a grand cheaper without all the doodads.
