I swear to god it absolutely baffles me how The Verve took 3 albums to get the recognition they deserved from the beginning. Tunes like this Gravity Grave, Slide away and Star Sail are superb also and showed how good of a band they were from that point.

It says so much about what a creative flourish (The) Verve were in back in the early to mid '90s that a track this amazing would get almost completely lost amongst the rest of their output at the time. I've been a huge fan for decades and I only just discovered it now. They don't even have this version on Spotify ffs. Thankyou to the person who posted this for fans and for posterity. Most bands, even high profile ones, could never come up with even a lead single this good.
