The Verve was his vehicle - he was the one who painted those fantastic soundscapes and Ashcrofts contribution - for me and many others who were there - was always secondary to that, no matter what he prefers to believe. Who wrote the songs on the first two records? The whole band, right? Then on Urban Hymns Ashcroft wrote most of the songs, right?

Met him just in a fleeting moment once and all he said to me with a slight handshake was “ imagine one love” ❤ took me years to realise he was quoting John Winston Lennon and Robert Nesta Marley RPA ❤

Love Nick Mccabe's guitar sound, would it be possible to do something with Black submarine, always thought "New shores" should of sounded much better with nick higher in the mix or a instrumental or two would be nice also.

2004 remix from the This Is Music collection, combined with the 2016 remaster. This was done with an older model, so my future ones will sound alot better.
