There is an old article out there from Wizards themselves that say something along the lines of what you mentioned regarding printing bad cards. Yes they do it on purpose. Why? In summary, bad cards are necessary to 1) control power creep, and 2) to help new players figure out what a bad vs a good card is in limited, so that by differentiating the two, they learn, either by doing well and getting rewarded for running the good cards in their pool, or learning by doing poorly because they put a bad card in their limited decks.

The local chain pharmacy that sells Magic boosters only has Ravnica Allegiance packs left and the 3 booster pack package for $12. So basically, it's easier for me to get a pack of Darksteel and 2 packs of M19 for $12. Than it is to buy 1 pack of War of the Spark.

@@Vidicara yea. Its been weird since I got back into collecting last spring. I stopped buying and playing Magic after Shards of Alara. I walked into the store and saw packs of magic cards so I checked em out. They had Alliegence some dominaria, Shadows over Innistrad. Then they had the 3 packs. With a foil rare on top so you couldn't see the packs below it. Well there was everything you could imagine the different packs. Most were from around BfZ up to Guilds of Rav. But then a few have darksteel packs, a few had Betrayers of Kamigawa. I already have that set so I put them away for a rainy day. I should've done the same with all the darksteel packs too. But i still need a few to complete that one. Would be awesome if they put 2 packs of darksteel instead of 2 packs of M19. Lol

Ruby you need to have a few more of those 1 hour opening videos. It's just slamming 3 opening videos together really, and frankly it would give you a little more time to get past a set quicker. Although I'm guessing you want to milk it

Honestly with the saturation of way too many good cards ruins the whole set. This is basically what happens when Rosewater listens to all the people complaining about "hosers" in packs and stuffs an expansion like a kids bag on Halloween. With too many good cards nobody really cared and it killed the economic side as people didn't really have to buy cards. Throne of Eldraine is mitigating the problem with more hype and more expensive cards.
