Very cool, Gerald. So smooth. You look so relaxed and in the zone. Will this rendition be on a future CD of yours? I'd love to get it.

Love it. So smooth and jazzy. I'd love to play like this. Do you have any instructions or book. I would love to do the zoom class on Sat. but don't have much success with zoom.

Aint that just super!!!! Just how long does it take to put a tune like that together ? Hours....days....months....years.....
@gbross8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bill. The first thing is finding out what key it works best in on the uke. That's basically trial and error. Sometimes the "A" part of the tune works great in a key but the "B" part is difficult to finger. Sometimes one just has to live with situations like that and make the best of a difficult situation. Sometimes the entire tune falls naturally under the fingers in a key. Once the key is determined then the trial and error of chord inversions takes place. Many times the finished arrangement is nothing like the beginning attempts. So.... this particular tune took me a couple of weeks of poking and prodding at it - sanding off rough edges etc.

As always, beautifully played and composed. Is this low G? My music teacher, Kevin Carroll, told me once you play high G, I think?

Do you have a dum machine background on your swing songs. Seems I hear one. If so, what brand? Thx
@gbross4 жыл бұрын
No drum machine. I’m a percussive player

What kind of strings do you use.?
@gbross3 жыл бұрын
For low g I use a wound D'darrio classical guitar D string or a Fremont wound G. The rest of the strings are Oasis flourocarbon. Hi G, an Oasis from the previous set
