@simplebutnotsolongname66425 ай бұрын
And what about the ones who do have money? Shouldn’t they help support their favourite Artist by buying their music? This was the issue Lars tackled. If Napster and people, who have money and are profiting from artists’ music, can go around doing whatever they want with it without the behest of the people who made them, then what future is their any artist to make a living out of this? This wasn’t just about Lars, it was about All musicians and artist in general. Dave failed to acknowledge this stance that is shared by people like him. Sure, he and Metallica are well off. But what about smaller bands, or up and coming bands? That’s why people like Lars, who had the biggest platform out of all them, could tackle this issue and make it a widespread for everyone to know, including the government. Not to mention it’s within artist rights to do what they will with their creation and property, which is what Napster took away from them. Lars and others like Dr. Dre had every right to sue. Also just because their millionaires, Doesn’t mean they can’t offer jobs to people and them.

As opposed to what, a couple clicks to Download multiple mp3s straight from a computer? Plus, tape trading was a practice by fans of music, who go out of their way to do all of that. File-sharing can be done easily by anyone. Of course, there’s the people who can’t afford the music, but also the people who can and don’t necessarily care about the artist. But I digress. Lars seriously makes his Drumming more scrutinized and judged because of how arrogant and pretentious he is about practically everything.. just look how insecure and jealous he was when he couldn’t play the show in Europe and Dave Lombardo and Joey Jordison sat in and played the entire set, Lars has almost little to no respect to be decent enough and just be thankful that these two masters allowed his band to play an important Show for their fans and instead moans and groans in an interview how upset he feels, In all fairness he’s right to feel upset and inferior because he isn’t near those Two’s playing abilities and I wouldn’t be surprised if he cried after watching the performance the first time, Lars understands he is far beneath Dave but watching Joey who is even Smaller than He is completely pound and shred the heads off his own kit with little effort and dramatically more Power truly should have humbled his big mouth for once..

@babablacksheep8019Ай бұрын
@@FruityHachi This sounds like what you’ve learned from major label documentaries or something. But for indie acts on indie labels, it’s a whole other ballgame, and that’s how most artists start these days. I’ve toured the country selling swag t shirts and dividing up the door $ from a club that took 50% and split the rest between four bands. I can tell you with certainty that this is supposed to be an added bonus to your income, not the primary income. Often it’s just enough to get you through tour gassing up your V6 over and over while driving huge distances in the U.S. Safe to say you go back to work at your regular job as soon as you get home. It’s not uniquely my story, it’s thousands of active and current bands story. As for ads or soundtracks paying the bills for 4-6 musicians in a rock band, good luck. It’s super rare that those offers come in, and you usually have to be playing some sort of pop music to stand a chance.
