I actually did this mission with a few randoms with my legend level being 40 , but they updated it so we couldn't sleep in any safe houses , they are still accessible though and nothing can really come in tbh.. But the night will never go to day , (sucks with invasions enabled)

I remember trying to no-hit this game on nightmare like 5 years ago for funsies. Lord it was pain. The fall damage was PAIN to have to take into account. Think I got to the hive mission when I got smacked. Genuinely a fun way to play the game in some ways, making ya rethink how you handle *everything* and watching this brought me down memory lane. Here's my challenge. DL the following. Extinction difficulty. Clean any volatile nest. (daytime) I would add additional rules like no firecrackers, camouflage or flares but i feel like that would be impossible. Also the thumbnails and the videos themselves are so perfect, keep up such great work! (Makes me want to play the game again.)

Also a interesting detail. If a zombie is standing still and it some reason doesn't hit u at 1st ( like bugging its ai) all the left hands are move up like there doing a little wave or pushing a door. The only zombies ik do this is all common inf and both hazmats. Also white hazmats are immune it electricity. Ive only tested this in old town with a small generator and the yellow ones would be electrocuted but the white ones would just walk through it.

If anyone wants to attempt this challenge and wants an early pistol theres a shack in the hilly area near the tunnel where a man took his life and it has bullets too. Vendors sell ammo as soon as you have a gun i believe

They do not, you need to be a high enough survivor level to buy ammo. Also there is a Rust DLC (which is completely free btw) which lets you craft an SMG from scraps (no base gun needed) and ammo from scraps. So gun only challenge would be pretty doable with that. It's not really a pay to win thing for this one specifically as it's free

There's a German pistol you can get in a lone shack i think a bit south on the shore from the village under the bridge. There's a body inside with the gun next to it. I usually grab it right before Airdrop for challenge runs like this

there is a tunnel near Gaze's house that if you slide you get parkour XP, if u spam slide to cancel the slide and start a new one you still get the XP so you can grind levels really early in the game.

I try not to grind too much in these kinds of challenges unless I absolutely have to. One reason being it gives extra challenge, and another reason being it would take so long to finish some of these videos if I grinded levels all the time lol But I definitely appreciate the tip anyway!

7:33 it would be soo great if we got back DL1 zombie behaviour in The Beast, I feel that changing zombies behaviour in DL2 was the biggest mistake the devs made

The zombies in DL2 definitely much more… stiff. They hardly react to anything it feels like at times. You even have to jump from a certain height to affect them or make them stumble.

@@FPSurvivor yes, exactly I got soo dissapointed during my first playthrough of DL2 after I notice how stiff zombies are, they no longer felt "alive" like in DL1, not to mention how much I got dissapointed with Virals later for nearly the same reason. Why do you give virals such a long dash/leap and then make invisible wall at the edge of every building... It even looks bad when they just stooped mid air and rolled in place at the edge... Or that animation fuck up I noticed while farming tokens. During viral rush at night I was killing virals all night and often had to dodge their leaps. And i'm not even mad that thet sometimes could change the leap direction by more than 45° in an instance while keeping full momentum which often killed me, i'm mad because at some point I just started waiting till the very end to dodge perfectly only to notice how they LITTERALY go past me after I succesfully dodge only to somehow turn around 180° mid air and starte the pounce animation while hitting me into the direction from which they came... Sorry I had to write such long comment but I really needed to vent this because I had very high hopes for DL2 and many thing dissapointed me but this one made me rage af

@@FPSurvivor yeah I played maybe around 2 years ago ( im not sure but I played long before the night options update soo it's quite possible that they changed it, I will never forget my frustration while farming succesfuly fir like 30 minuts getting lots of exp in the open and getting killed by a single pounce like that... I got even saltier after watching replays from Outplayed... Btw did they delete the invisivle wall at the edges of the building or is it still bad? I kind of stopped keeping in touch with DL2 after speed running game+ just to save Frank after he died on my first playthrough taking away my perfect good ending in the process... And I liked him too much to just let his death slip and play normally with the knowledge of what could be if he lived. Also would you say that the game now is worth playing through again after all these updates since DL:The Beast is coming?

Why do so many people do no damage challenges and never use the shield? It is the only item to allow you to block damage including point blank bombers

It takes a second to pull up instead of being instantaneous, it’s also better to just avoid close range entirely

@@FPSurvivor I watched a no damage playthrough I forget who it was I think DanteRavioli, there are two spots he couldn't avoid damage, the sewer area on the way to old town where you are ambushed and have to swim. and the arena because of an RPG explosion and something else I forget.

@ryuhanja3415 The sewers I have video proof of not taking damage I’m pretty sure, though I don’t remember what video it was right off the top of my head. But the arena is way more difficult. If you can manage to take out the guys shooting then I think it’s possible!

The fall damage is crazy lethal in a run like that, but most of the issues I have I think are the splash damage dealing zombies like the spitters or exploders!

@FPSurvivor Truee forgot that the spitters now have splash damage and hit in a larger area. There are also the screamers which damage you if they scream while you are too close, even tho their scream has quite the range to hit you. But yeah it's hard for sure!

@@Possum02 well, what if a “No unnecessary damage run”? I know it kills the purpose of the no damage run but if a segment forces you to take damage then maybe the run could be altered a bit to progress through it?

I believe it wouldn't be impossible, just insanely difficult. It's possible to take out the riflemen on the ledges when escaping the arena (if you can get a weapon), and I actually have footage in one of my other Dying Light videos of not being shot when I'm underwater in the sewer. If you're insanely careful and take everything slowly after those instances that may seem impossible, I think it could be done!

@@FPSurvivor from what I know it is impossible to not be hit but if you have a clip of this, I believe you but the most of no hit runs just restarted the mission if they were hit, the pit and the sewers would be almost impossible if you restart the whole game.

I know it's considered a copout answer, but I really don't think comparisons can be made between the two. Yes they are related and in the same universe, but Dying Light 2 is completely different from the first. While I love the originality and overall feel of Dying Light, Dying Light 2 has a better movement and combat system in my opinion. But I find them both super fun to play!
