The normal dying light experience was fun but "too easy", this mod however makes everything interesting and challenging and very satisfying to play as you progress along, really recommended that everyone of you play extinction mode and experience everything better, scarier, and harder! the harder the better!

Just got dying light definitive edition for 80% off on PS5 since I moved to console a month ago. €6 for this game and all DLCs? Count me in. This is my favorite game ever. Sinked over 300 hours in the game before considering myself done with everything it had to offer. 2 years laters, I am back to it. I can't use mods on console, but I absolutely would love if this mod would become official. Dying Light 2 was a disappointment. Played for about a month on release. I even preordered the Ultimate Edition. It wasn't bad, it wasn't good. It was OK. They clearly got the corpo greed, most likely due to investors. Might come back to Dying Light 2 and see what is new later this year. However, I doubt they would ever top Dying Light 1. I was sad to see the Dying Light companion app gone. Used to use it every day. It made me feel like the leader of runners. Oh well. This game still being played almost 10 years after release and about 2.5 years after it lost its content support is clearly a hint at how good the game is.

I think I see a fellow Dying Light fanatic! I was also not a huge fan of Dying Light 2 when it first released. Mainly because for whatever reason they thought they needed to fix the parkour system and jumping which.. we all know didn't need to be touched. I agree, it definitely is a whole different feel from DL1. But when they fixed it, I came back to give it a try and found myself to have a ton of fun! As for the companion app, there's actually a website now that you can connect your account to and get some goodies from. It's for both DL 1 and 2 so maybe it'll scratch that itch!

So, if you use strong attack on ExpCalibre it will launch enemies very far, If you craft ExpCalibre then it will launch enemies and shoot lightning at them. As for chess blueprients then you just need to use elevator to go down, then go up to reset your turn

Woah that’s crazy! Never realized EXPCaliber was capable of that! I always used it up, then threw it away in my playthroughs lol Something must have been up with the SiCK bomb though, because I went down the elevator and came back up and it didn’t work. Maybe something was wrong with my game or maybe I did something wrong lol

I'm glad that the creator gave Aziz another quest, because in the base game, during the tunnel vision quest, after he tells you about the phenyl nitrate he says something like "if you make it back, I have another mission for you" but even if you do go back to him you cant interact with him

Yeah, The Thing in Apartment 16 is apparently why he says that! Supposedly this mission was supposed to be in the game, but it must have been cut content which would explain why there's voice acting and stuff from the characters.

I only just found out we dont need to kill the goon too. I came back to the game after years and decided to try getting the highest damage firearms i can. So i avoid killing zombies the best i can. Unfortunately they keep walking into fire or falling and dying so my power is up to 4 now.

i don't recognise the phenyl nitrate or the apartment 16 quests, are those like hidden quests buried in the files that got unlocked, or were the voicelines AI or did the creator like pay Roger Craig Smith to do some voicelines? I'm just confused cos ive never seen these quests in 3 playthroughs of the game myself. also i love how you edited this video, you showed the important bits and cut out the BS, actually satisfying to watch and honestly made me sub, keep it up brother ❤

The Phenyl Nitrate quest is actually from the main game, I believe the quest is called "Tunnel Vision" which is a side quest that's possible to be missed. As for Apartment 16, people have told me that it, along with the voice lines were files found in the games code that just wasn't used! Super cool right? the problem I've found the most annoying with this mod is that if you die, your weapons durability and consumables are not refunded, but all the enemies respawn and have their health reset....

Yep, sadly that's a thing in Dying Light 2 as well. I get that it adds to the overall difficulty, but if you're doing a challenge run and die, then.. you're kinda just screwed lol

Still just at the start of the video, but wow, that instant volatile sight sounds stupidly overtuned alongside all the other changes. I get that they're supposed to be ultra challenging, unfair difficulties, but the way sight works in this game, making them instantly see you when you HAVE to play through (harder) nights seems less like difficulty and more like a gameplay tax on lower leveled characters. Like, how will anyone survive without sufficient parkour stats/animations? Changing the loot tables and giving you an actual reason to rummage through literally everything is very cool, though.

The instant Volatile sightings were pretty rough I'll admit, that mixed with the fact that you can't see them with survivor sense anymore made it ULTRA challenging. But the hype you get when you succeed despite the extreme difficulty is addicting so I think it's worth it! Thanks for watching and commenting (:

I'm playing this mod since a few days now. I'd say I'm having a much easier time at night (since I grinded my agility level before doing any missions.) Regardless of that, this mod though, reignited my love for playing dying light, there is a lot of new stuff to play around with, and it feels like a large dlc we can use for free. I wonder if you'll be playing the Following dlc with this as well?

I agree though, this mod changes so much about the game that it really incentivizes you to go through and see what all might have changed. I love it!
