I didn't even think of the OVA as an option! Wonderful! Lisa Lisa and all her moves deserves a video on their own, her fights are so short, but the moves she does during them are awesome.

oh imo it’s so much better in the ova, enya feels legitimately terrifying and you understand why dio held her in such high regard, in the anime her fight felt funnier to me more than anything else :0 (also avdol’s return was done in such a cool way)

OVA seems hype, do you recommend it though?

this was of the 2001 ova which has a much more horror angle, I think most of the 2001 ova is good, but most of the fights are better in the anime with the exception of this one. However the 1992 ova is the opposite, every fight except the vanilla ice fight is done better in the ova imo. Like new scenes are added to give depth, like kakyoin and dio sharing a haunting conversation before the 20 meter emerald splash, n'doul attacking the car's coolant systems to grow his water and break the car down in one blow, or jotaro and dio duking it out on an active highway throwing vehicles and towers at one another. I will say in terms of telling a story the ova is better too though since it *only* keeps the essentials, giving part 3 the pacing of part 2.

They seem more powerful at OVAs ngl, Avdol with the big fire, Kakyoin with the spiky emerald splash (which he always use), Joseph that uses his Hermit purple everytime and Jotaro who threw a building.
