I lost my nana a little over a year ago. Towards the end of her battle with Alzheimer’s, I would go to her house when she didn’t wanna get out of bed, and I would sit at the kitchen table, put on her makeup and curl her hair. As soon as she would see herself in the mirror her face would light up and even though she didn’t remember my name or who I was, seeing herself all dolled up I could just tell made her feel a little bit more like herself again. This video made me surprisingly emotional in the best way by making me remember those days with my Nana. She also took care of my brother and I, and she taught us how to speak Spanish. I don’t know why but this video just felt so familiar and reminiscent of my abuelita. Thank you for sharing 💞💘💓💖 I needed this today.

it's never too late to improve ur spanish!! i went through a phase in high school where i didn't speak to my parents in spanish or wasn't interested in visiting my family back home and i lost my native accent and didn't really know how to construct sentences. starting from age 20-23 my spanish has improved a lot from speaking only in spanish to my parents and visiting my family a few times a year, if u don't practice it it will never improve since we don't live in a spanish speaking country, and it can be embarrassing if you feel like you don't know words so you'd rather speak in english but making those mistakes will help u correct yourself and stop making those mistakes when u speak ^__^
