The View needs to have Kayla Martell on the show! Kayla is an eloquent spokesperson and a beautiful role model for women with hair loss.

They would never suggest that a bald man with a less than perfectly-shaped head should wear a wig. Someday women who lose their hair will have the freedom to choose baldness, too. Until then, we have to put up with comments like these.

BTW...I have had alopecia since childhood and Kayla is GORGEOUS both inside and out. She is very inspirational

As a bald woman myself, this is not offensive at all it’s actually funny. Cmon guys relax. Woopy is actually correct it all depends on your head shape really but in all honesty … it’s just another hairstyle for alot of women like me who thankfully were able to choose to have this hairstyle and not forced into it with situations such as having cancer or alopecia. You do see more black women rocking a bald head but nowadays pretty much all kinds of women out there have been seen with it. It’s an easy hairstyle that alot of women are choosing now and I think that’s great because let’s face it ladies - long hair is stressful and expensive to take care of and not all of us want that stress in our lives. I think men and women can look good with long or short hair really just depends on the person.

How did this subject become about black vs. white women? Let's stay on subject and refer to a topic that is not at all racially specific....alopecia. Miss Delaware is trying to raise awareness of a disease that emotionally affects many girls. I should know because my 15 year old daughter has been dealing with it since the age of 3. Thank you to Kayla Martell for her confidence to appear without a wig. She is truly beautiful. Women of The View....you are ridiculous!

@guns4good I think she was defending Miss Kayla by saying that...she's saying yeah well so what if Miss Kayla doesn't have hair...the other contestants probably are 'lacking' in other aspects (like not having real boobs/being plastic). She wasn't questioning if bald women in general had boobs...that wasn't her point I think.

If people would actually LISTEN to what they were saying you can clearly see that yes it was a BIT insensitive but it wasnt over the top. I dont understand these people sometimes.

i heard them say if u have a mis-shapped head u will look funny like anyone else, bald or not. that was not a reference to an illness. did u guys not hear sherri & the guy say...black women where their hair in all types of ways & bald is fab on many. And, any woman or father who does not shape the baby's head needs 2. Its no different than caring for the navel & securing an innie. No idea how this turned into an assumed illness bashing.

How is this offensive? I swear people act like 3 year old's these days getting upset and offended over every little comment made. Act your age or grow thicker skin...that's a lesson I learned in the second grade.
